    Has a close fight with Pacquiao and instead of getting him a rematch, his promoter gets himself a fight with Pacquiao. Now he's throwing JMM at Mayweather for a quick buck. fjkdsal;

    his promotor is not the one the make the deals for fights, his manager is in charge of that.

    This is absolute bull****.

    What exactly is the problem here?

    JMM is a serious fighter, a fingernail behind the world current best fighter on the planet in Pac. He got one rematch with him for starters. So how is getting him a fight with Mayweather 'bad promoting' or 'making a quick buck'?

    We are talking about a guy who is right at the top of his game, almost at the top of the sport, and probably a few million squid short of a great retirement fund. Fighting Mayweather gives him a chance to go right to the very top of the sport, become a marquee name, earn millions, it can do everything for JMM.

    Mayweather is THE fight he most needs along from Pac. Sure he will probably lose, but we are talking about one of the best fighters in the world, in his prime but getting on a bit. He is not some cash cow prospect who is being given up as a sacrificial lamb ffs.

    Fighters get to a stage and level of skill and age where there ceases to be any point in the protection of their records. JMM is at the level and age where he has to, and probably is desperate to, take every big fight he can, however big the risk.

    Well, PacMan fought Dangerous David Diaz, instead of giving JMM the same rematch he gave Pac, so what could JMM do? He fought the true LW champ than the top#1 contender.

    Of course he's too brave for his own good fighting PBF, the ***** who was called out by every LWW, WW and LMW, but coming back vs. the career FW, but at least Marquez will get paid well, which he deserves.

    Pac didnt want the rubbermatch so his promoters got him the true P4P King. Not bad by GBP.

    Marquez could have had a much better career than what he has now though (As hard as it is to believe) Had he rematched Pac immediately after that draw he probably would have had a much better fight and won clearly.

    If that happened, he might not have wandered around wasting years fighting Chris John in Indonesia. Who knows maybe its he who might have had the classic trilogy with Morales if he was managed correctly during that time in his career.

    marquez is the one who wanted the fight, after diaz he said he wants to go after the best and he said in his mind mayweather is the best.it wasn't like he just left it up to his management. He told them to pursue a fight against mayweather So everyone needs to stop saying this is bull**** because you never know he might put up a good fight,he's the second(now third)p4p fighter in the world! he isn't some nobody that mayweather wants to use for a tuneup

    Floyd get criticized all the time for not facing real challenges but the minute a boxer(in this case JMM) takes on a fight "he can't win" it is labeled a stupid move by some.

    Fickle mofos!

    its a good thing that he got the floyd fight. a win-win situation for jmm unless he got battered in the fight which will not be the case because his opponent is floyd. i'll give him a good chance on this one because he's on the top of his game while floyd would have to contend with ring rust.

    It is a win/win situation for JMM and he'll make a pretty penny.

    That's a really nice avatar, by the way.

    After his last fight JMM called out Mayweather, so his manager is giving JMM what he wants. I see no problem there.
