    COME IN AT 139-140....
at this point of their careers i think manny will take it (thought jmm won the first two), but i would love for marquez to get a nice, fat retirement check before he says goodbye to the sport he has blessed for years......

it's really personal for marquez and i really do think this will be his last chance at manny....i love marquez's competetive spirit and i dont see how he can turn this down at any weight, but if he's smart then he'll come in light...the same way manny did to margo...

many hate jmm for his shittalking, but really, i dont think its shittalking...i think the man is just so ****en competetive and cant stomache the fact that those fights didnt go his way...but he aint a sore loser by any means, just a warrior that wont back the **** down and i love it....

if he dont agree soon, i can easily see arum/roach making a ***** move and taking on mosley, and maybe another easy opponent while waiting for floyd....by then it'll be wayyyyy tooooooooo late and marquez's chance will fly out the window....

Agreed.. I want to see Pac fight Berto, but a trilogy with Marquez is what would happen in a perfect world.

    Do the right thing, Arum.

  4. Marquez went life and death with a one-dimensional Pac and got dropped 4X along the way.

Pac will brutally KO him in a third fight.

Not sure I want Marquez to go out like that.

    :-(

What would be a fair purse for JMM considering he got 1.4 million in his last fight?

Would 3 million be enough, which is more than double his previous take?

He definately has slipped some but he still has enough to give Pac hell.

If he fights a smart fight he can beat Pac. Just no trading like he tends to do. People seriously overrated Pac since the JMM II fight.

There is a reason Pacs team is barking 147. It doesnt matter. I expect JMM to come in light like you said freddy. Fight night the difference wont be so much.

Maybe this will be JMM last big victory. All the legends have one left in the chamber.

He made about 7 with PBF if im not mistaken. But being that Pac doesnt draw as much as PBF a little below that should do.

He is asking for it, then give it to him.

He is set to receive 1.2 million from his fight with Katsidis.

Pacquiao can more than double that and give him a guaranteed purse of 3million!

That's 100 times more than the 30k he opted to receive when he ducked pacquiao for the first rematch and lost to Chris John which he has UNFINISHED BUSINESS with.

And guarantee Pacquiao 20million as Marquez can't attract flies. :deal

That was including his cut in the PPV.

3 million with cut in the PPV would probably net him almost or more than that amount.

This is exactly what I said. Just because the fight is being held at WW/147, doesnt mean that Marquez has to come all the way up to 147. Its not as if Pac puts on much weight after the weigh-in anyway. At most, Pac will weigh around 148 come fight time, while Marquez will be around 143-144. I dont see the problem here.

Does anyone know what Katsidis weighed on fight night?

1.2 million as AP reported it and also in Oscar's tweet. :good

Now we see why he is soooo desperate for a third meeting. :yep

That's what happens if you duck from a Pacquiao pleading ever so greatly for an automatic rematch and then settling for a 30k Chris John fight. :hey

And now that Pacquiao is BIG you ingratiate yourself to him. Whew, people. :rofl

JMM is a sucker for the left. Kat downed him with the left.

I don't think he is competitive anymore. When he went life and death with Juan Diaz, that just made it for me. He is way past it! All that he has is his innate boxing skills but physically, he is approaching Roy Jones proportions.

    Exactly :good

He has weight issues and even demands Pacquiao to meet him halfway? What a turd. :patsch

Want to test his weight issue? Then fight a Timothy Bradley who's 140 then fight Pacquiao.

The point is it's all about retirement money, so he should not think so highly of himself trying to position for the Pacquiao sweepstakes. :deal
