Plus, they would be pretty close in size come fight night anyways. JMM would probably be 145, or 146, and Pac would probably be 146, or 147.

But if JMM REALLY wants the fight, agree to 147 then just come in wherever he feels at his best. I would suggest weighing in at about 138 or 139...

Agreed. He should just say yes to 147 right away before Pacquiao looks once more for reasons to run away.

Maybe the 16 pounds he put on between the weigh in and the fight was also a factor. Slowed him down alot.

That would be the smart thing for JM to do. Just come in at 140 and say **** it. Pac will probably come in light as well.

if floyd whupped him at 146, i dont see pac having too much difficulty at 147. that being said, marquez has earned it.

whether or not pac would be as succesful as floyd against him is another matter

Pac and Marquez are still the same size. The only difference is Pac has proven he can compete at 140+.

I agree with everything. JMM deserves a chance at a nice retirement check for sure. Do I think he'll win???...absolutely NOT. But he's proven to be a true warrior and given boxing a lot of special moments.

His talk is nothing new....I don't understand how anyone can be made at JMM for saying he beat PAC. In his mind he probably did. they were close fights. I had PAC winning both but only by 2 rounds in both fights. So it's gotta be a big pill to swollow knowing PAC has taken boxing to a new level and knowing he was the closest to beat PAC in the last 10 yrs.

PAC should either fight Berto or JMM! if Floyd, Sergo and Paul aren't on the list.

He should fight Pac at a reasonable weight, 147lbs it too much for him, he has no chance there and it showed when he fought Fraud, 140lbs is better, but I think Pac has outgrow the 135-140lbs limit and has became a full fledge WW.

Morales beat his A$$ on their first fight, I don't know if he was on PEDS at that time.

It's not like Pac is a full fledged welter who blows up to near 160 on fight night. Sign the contract at 147, come in comfortably and know that on fight night there should be less than 10 pounds difference.

Just for the record, I had both fights scored draws.

Marquez came in at 145 lbs for his last fight. I believe Paq. was around 147 or 148 for Margarito. These guys are the same size. Paq. is not going to balloon up to 155 over night. The weight limit shouldn't matter. These guys are going to be 2 to 3 lbs apart fight time.

I think they should come to an agreement of weight. Manny has made many a fighter go out of their comfort zone weight wise, I know being a massive draw he calls the shots, but if they could come to an agreement on fight weight i think it would be better for us as fight fans.

We have seen how marquez looks at 147. Also if Manny looks bad vs Marquez at 147 (not that manny will loose the fight) then everyone will just say well Floyd dominanted him at 147 so Floyd is the better fighter.

Only on paper, JMM is 37 years old going on 38, plus all those wars are bound to catch up with him, 135-140lbs is a good weight for both of them, if Pac wants more than that, he can fight Martinez or Berto as a tune up, if they chose Mosley, they should b ashamed of themselve.
