Kats will force Marquez's old legs to either wilt or force the great Mexican to produce more brilliance!

:happy if this comes off, it's essential.

Great fight, winnable for Marquez, but Katz will make it damned exciting

Hit the nail on the head.

This will be somewhat similar to Marquez vs Diaz 1. Marquez is a brillient technician but does give himself up to get his counters off so that will mean Kats will have his moments, but JMM is all wrong for him, he's gonna be countered like crazy, walk into right leads and uppercuts all night. Marquez late stoppage with Katsidis all blooded.

Let's not forget that Diaz stunned Marquez early in their first encounter. Katsidis is a much harder puncher than The Baby Bull, bigger and stronger as well, and Marquez is getting older.

In the end I think JMM's outstanding powers of recovery and accuracy will see him win via late stoppage in what will be FOTY this year or the next :deal

I see Katsidis setting an extremely fast pace in the first 3 or 4 rounds and causing Marquez some serious trouble, probably rocking him a couple of times. But I think Marquez will come through it and his accurate counters will pay off in the end as he will force Kats to the canvas a couple of times.

This will go one of 2 ways: Close decision either way (most likely Marquez), or Marquez stops him late, IMO

I totally agree. Katsidis won't be able to take those hard counters all night.

Take into account Katsidis' issues with cuts in the past and JMM's accuracy and I think it's a cert JMM stops Kats:deal.

I see Marquez stopping Kats as the more likely outcome. However, Diaz (if I remember correctly) had his best rounds later on in his second fight with JMM. Therefore I think its entirely possible that, assuming Kats sets a terrific pace, JMM could tire later on in the fight and not be able to put Katsidis away.

I think Katsidis learnt a great deal from the Casamayor fight (you can hear it when he talks) and will try to fight a smarter fight, but you are who you are as the saying goes and he'll just look like a plodder in this fight and that plodder job and forced body work will play right into Marquez's wheelhouse. As long as Mike Kats doesn't catch Juan Manuel with any flukey hybrid hooks then this is a done and dusted Marquez win.

Having said though i might hold off my prediction till the fighters entrances. You see the entrance to this fight will tell me all I need to know about Katsidis and his concentration level. If he wears that silly Spartan helmet on the walk in, then I'm going Marquez KO1, lol!

Losfer must be phening like a crack addict for this fight...I know he loves both fighters.
