Nope. Marquez is slower. His speed has slowed with his weight jumps and its due to both the weight jumps and his age.

What Marquez will have to do to compensate is lower his punch output. Instead of thowing combinations that surpass 3 punches, he's going ot have to incorporate more one's and two's into the repertoire.
My guess is thats why he's built his upper body. The one's and two's are going to have mass and more behind them than his 3-5 punch combinations had vs Pacquiao prior.

    Bull****!

Pacquiao never looked better than he did in his first fight at welter.
At the time he'd only had one fight past the Marquez rematch at 130 lbs.
Pacquiao obliterated DLH in that first fight at Welter.
As usual you and Ariza are speaking out of their arse holes.

You know, I have to say one thing about the Marquez - Floyd fight people forget. One of the biggest reasons Marquez had troubles with that fight is because he (of the two counter punchers) decided to give up his usual style early to be the aggressor. Someone had too, but had Floyd felt the urgency to do that instead and allowed Marquez to stick to his bread and butter counter punching, I think this fight would have been closer. Not a win, but much more competitive.

I do think Marquez is slightly underrated now because of that fight. However, I still believe at this weight and age, Pac is a heavy favorite here. I would even say it will probably be a stopped by the ref or corner.

A lot of people keep comparing the JMM/Floyd fight which I'm not.. Floyd cheated the scales and came in overweight as Pac will probably won't even weigh in over 145 during fight night.. The things that have really caught my eye was the fights JMM had with Katsidis and Diaz where both were able to land punches on JMM.. Katsidis even managed to knocked Marquez down in their fight.. JMM will be putting on some extra weight, but I believe Pac will have his way with Marquez.. Marquez will be able to land some punches, but Pac's speed + power will hurt Marquez a lot.. Marquez's best days were at 130.. Even though he was won all his fights at 135, he's still has had a little trouble there..

It's boxing you get hit, at 38 maybe even more. I'm tired of this ****, blah blah fighter A was able to hit Fighter B so Fighter C who is better then Fighter B will take him out... OMFG He is a small LW always has been, ultimately TKO'd them regardless of being touched up he is not a master defensive wizz but has good defense and excels at counter punching..... **** PAC got hit by Cotto by Margo... no one ever mentions that...

It's not like it matter in Boxing you get hit, **** even Mayweather who is a defensive genius gets hit... so stop with this Marquez got hit at the lower weight by Kats and DIAZ this means PAC gonna connect even more. BLAH BLAH BLAH... they connected they came in hard and they got TKO'd PAC will not come in guns a blazing he knows who he is dealing with this ain't no B level Margo/Clottey.

Pac did get hit and I'm not denying it.. Pac was able to take those punches from the bigger opponents as Marquez was hit just as much if not more, by the smaller guys and had bigger effects..

Pac is not going to come in guns a blazing.. He's a much better fighter now than he was against JMM and he definitely has better footwork, ring generalship, speed, and MORE POWER than Katsidis or Diaz.. If Katsidis is able to put down Marquez with the limited skill and whatever power he has, what do you think Pac will do if he lands a clean, hard left on Marquez's face?

You JMM fans get so uptight.. Not saying Pac is going to win because Diaz and Kats were able to hit Marquez, just that Marquez will be getting hit more by Pac than he's use to..

Marquez will get up and be much more determined then he was last time, a light will turn on and he will let his heart guide him to a win as always.

Also, those guy came in with different game plan they did not want to outbox JMM, they wanted to steam roll him... JMM the perfect counter to them. Pac will come in to try and apply his new found so called "skills" "right hand" and "counter punching" to try and box JMM, he will not come in guns a blazing as oppose to the other guys who were able to touch him because of the way they were coming in..... to their demise. IMO pac will connect at times of course but in a boxing way, it's gonna be a boxing match...

Pac not coming in to steamroll over JMM in this fight is why I believe Pac won't get hit as much as he did the first two times as well as Kats and Diaz were trying to do.. Pac may not land as much, but I don't see him getting hit as much either, especially if he uses his footwork like he did in the Cotto/DLH fight.. It'll be very interesting when the two step in the ring and will be a fight while it lasts.. I don't see it going to the scorecards at all.. This fight is personal..

part 1 PAC came in to steamroll, was really only a one dimensional fighter.

part 2. 4 years late Very refined pac a new right hand which Roach talked a lot about, this was a boxing match and if you say in this fight came in to steamroll I can't take you serious only on part 1. They were both trying to outbox each other in part 2....

part 3. 4 year later, IMO same PACQUIAO but with a big power advantage and another right hand that Roach talking about LOL... will still be a chess match, as in part 2... except pac is bigger and more powerful, same or a little less speed. might have new skills, and added trick people keep brining up, but I don't see it.. I just see the power being the difference...

The first fight was definitely much more of a brawl, but the second one turned out to be later in the fight.. You may think it's the same Pac from the second fight, but I think he's much more refined now.. Better footwork, more head movement, and better combinations now if you ask me.. Pac is using that right hand more as well..
