"I considered retiring because everybody knows I want to fight Manny again and that I won the last fight, and I feel very angry about that decision," Marquez said. "Everybody knows I was looking for the rematch with Manny, but I don't know what happened. The most important thing is, I like to fight and I will fight on [Saturday] and I am very happy about that. But I don't know what happened with the rematch."

"The main reason for me to continue is that I want a rematch with Manny and that is the main factor for me to come back," Marquez said. "I have the fight on [Saturday], but I train very hard again. I think I won the last fight and I am looking for the rematch."

Marquez whole career revolves around pac since 04, I wonder what his career would look like had cortez jumped in after kd 3.

Or if hadn't been robbed against Pacquiao in the 1st fight, or the 2nd for that matter.

    People have to realise

When he is interviewed, half the time he is ASKED about Pacquiao

He answers, and then it becomes news

He doesn't call press conferences to say that he was robbed

The word 'Robbed' should be banned from all thread about Pacquiao - Marquez.

A great majority of the boxing world would disagree with that statement.

Yeah, I thought about that too. After the third knockdown, Marquez put his gloves over his face and just laid there for a second, like he thought it was over, and with a different ref, it might have been.

Its elementary that Pacquiao will come up during every interview because simply the interviewer knows he was robbed and knows that the money fight is still with Pacquiao.

The goal is of course to land a 4th fight with Pacquiao and for two reasons.

    1. Its the best money fight for Marquez.

    and

    2. Marquez already knows its about as sure a win in the publics eye as any big fight matchup out there for him.

Personally Marquez has already proven himself and beat Pacquiao every time. I'd rather see Marquez fight Rios next fall.
Marquez wont make nearly in the ballpark fighing Rios, so who can blame him for insisting on a 4th right with Pacquiao?

The best reason for it to happen is that it will sell again and sell bigger than it did the previous times. This time because Marquez recently has schooled him, the masses know its a legitamate fight that Pacquiao will likely lose again.

Controversy actually sells, and the booing after Pacquiao gets handed a 4th gift will be even louder than it was the previous 3 fights!:yep

Hold the fight in the Phillipines I say. I say the Pinoys wont be able to stomach it, they will riot in disgust after Manny gets gift wrapped another decision.:deal:yep

Because of the 3 knockdowns and the hole he dug himself into, the first fight was really the only fight that a case can be made Pacquiao won.

The last two fight the consensus is not with you on my friend.

When 2 out of 3 fan or journalist say you lost, you likely lost.

The 3rd fight was especially ridiculous in that you're hard pressed to find a fighter or trainer past or present who scored for Pacquiao.
So no, those fights could not have gone either way.
The wrong fighter got his hand raised.

:lol:Jesus Christ, even Bob Arum was apologetic on the matter.:lol:

"You must understand Juan, this is business!":rofl:rofl:rofl
