JMM could make the fight at 147 and come in at 142-144 ala Pac v Margo. So long as he is under the 147 limit he can fight as a welter

147 would not matter. pac would weigh 144 and be 148 on fight night. jmm would weigh 142 or 143 and be 146 on fight night. the only problem is pac is proven at weights higher than 135.

I am more eager to see Pac-JMM 3 than Pac-PBF.

Most of us know why Team Pac wants the fight at 147 when Pacquiao can easily make 140. It's not rocket science.

    Quite pathetic, actually.

First priority is Mayweather. If he can't make it, only then should JMM be considered.

Also when thinking about it, contracting the limit at 147 doesn't really make that much of a difference. PAC won't come in weighing any more than 144, and JMM can weigh whatever he wants. It'll end up, more or less, being a 142-144 catchweight any way.

The reason why Roach wants it at 147, is so that he's secured a safety net in his preparation. At 147, Pacquiao doesn't really have to worry about a weigh-in. It'll remove a hurdle. Whereas at 140, despite him still being able to make it easily, it's just one more thing to worry about.
