He should be thanking Cortez. If it wasn't for him, no one would be talking about JMM atm. If that fight had been stopped in the first round... what claim to fame does he have? And what would've been the need for a rematch.

Cortez is NOT a world class ref. Period. The fact that this is up for discussion says it all. a good ref is not supposed to be subject to this thread. kenny would never be discussed in this way.

allowing fighters to pick the third man in the ring will lead to corruption. Its the Boxing organizations role to provide competitive officials.

 

None of the fighters is picking a specific ref in the ring.

Can't blame him. Cortez is the worst 'top' ref in the biz. Get him tfo of boxing.

 

Since people are bringing up the soto fight and agreeing with it then what about when JMM was knocked down for the 3rd time by Pac and JMM got hit when his glove was already on the canvas why didn't Cortez disqualify Pac like Soto?
