i did hear personally they were trying for this match but i heard that it was for the silver wbc belt not the original. Its terrible.
He said he'd fight Khan next after Morales if Pacquaio turns down the rubber match again. yes what a duck
Saying and doing are 2 different things. I give him credit for SAYING it, but his camp DID turn down the Khan fight previously as Nacho did not want JMM to be a 'stepping stone.' For now he gets credit for saying but get points off for actually not doing. But of course he will get full/more credit when it does happen but until then...
Morales is shot, what do you mean faded?, are you serious? Have you seen any of his past fights PROPERLY?, I'm not saying his fight with Barrera and Pacquiao only but OTHER actual fights. Screw that, did you know he had other fights?
Khan = 140lbs Marquez = 135lbs Two different divisions, Marquez is what 36/37yrs old, its not as if hes a young fighter who will carry the extra weight well.
He's fighting Morales at 140lbs though. It's painfully obvious that he wants to be the first Mexican 4-weight world champion and is taking the easiest route to it. Obviously Morales is a far more winnable fight at this point than Khan.
yes this fight sucks, but all those saying he should be fighting khan instead are wrong. he is the lineal 135lb champ; he should be looking to take out any immediate threats at that weight (soto, vasquez..... **** even rios) but it's not hard to see whats going on. the guy wants a payday, he's given alot to the sport and at this late stage in the game is taking an easy payday for once. can't complain really, but yeah i am gutted about this fight, no doubt.....
ah sorry- didnt even realise they were fighting at 140 'til i read all above posts. yeah he's definitely taking an easy route to getting that 4th weight title then i guess......
I keep reading about this fight being a done deal, but I can't find a reliable source! Provide Source!
what marquez will do to morales is same what he would do to him in his prime morales never was that good
Its understandable though, Morales is hardly a huge light welter, why would he fight Khan at a weight he might find uncomfortable?, at least fighting Morales will let him test the waters of the division before he hopefully steps up against the likes of Khan, Bradley or Alexander. ps: did i miss something or is this actually for a belt of some description?
Is this for a vacant belt or something? If thats the case, then i wouldnt accept him as the first mexican to be a 4 division champ. If this is simply a tune up so he can test the waters at 140, then fights another tune up before challenging for a 4th title, then that more acceptable.
