i was pounding my fist into my palm so hard the skin was removed from my knuckles

 

both fighters left that round looking like they'd been in a 12 round war. Brutal.

 

More like round of a ****ing lifetime almost.

 

That WAS a 12 round war, condensed into 180 seconds.

 

That was a brutal round for both, they came out bleeding and both got rocked.

Definitely round of the year so far.

 

Blood all of their faces, and no head clash. ****ing amazing.

 

Not to toot my own horn, but I called the blood on Rafael's face long before the commentators realized that it wasn't just spill from Izzy's cuts.

Can somebody post a vid to this fight ? its not on youtube yet, theyve been kind of stingy with fight vids lately. I have HBO and did'nt switch over to SHO for this fight.

 

****ing A. Man, that was easily one of the best rounds I have ever seen.

 

I am reminded of the first MAB-EM encounter, only Rafa and Israel are in another league in terms of power and MAB and EM are in another league in terms of chin.

That's why MAB nor EM did not kiss the canvass in any of their three fights. Their punches were not that strong and at the same time, they had better chin than these two.

 

And all those ingredients are a recipe for this Mexican trilogy providing more thrills and eventually dwarfing that one historically, even as beloved as the Morales-Barrera series was.

 

Agreed totally.

I love the MAB-EM fights....but these were just on another level. Much more power, much more finesse (as both fighters are wonderfully skilled offensively)....and for the fact that we KNEW that a KO can happen at any moment, much more drama.

Again, not to take away from the Barrera - Morales wars...they were phenominal, just for my money...give me these two everytime!!!
