Both great fights. Marquez/Vazquez was more brutal, had the stoppage and the awesome 3rd round.

Barrera/Morales I was contested at a slightly higher level, same ebb and flow, great 5th round.

    Both had controversy and drama.

Personally, I'll take Barrera/Morales because it was such a display of skill and heart, but Marquez/Vasquez is an instant classic.

    Thoughts?

Vasquez-Marquez was a faster, more exciting version of the 1st JLC-Corrales legendary fight.

I'll take EM/MAB because of the genuine personal rivalry involved.

Well at this point, its still EM-MAB, but only because it was three great fights to two....if Raph and Izzy produce another classic in the third one...then its a whole other story.

(I voted for Marquez-Vazquez, because honestly, does anyone here think the third one wont be a classic???)

there was more damage involved with Marquez/Vasquez

but Barrera/Morales was defintely the more exciting fight
