:deal If you listen to *******s you would think that Pacquiao was steamrolling Marquez. That was NOT the case. Marquez was landing some huge CLEAN right hands and the KD that Pacquiao scored had more to do with Marquez being off balance than anything else...
Bradley handed Marquez his ass. Theres no point whatever in a rematch if they both win and the Manny saga is over. Marquez won't be fighting any winner.
He says a fight with Provodnikov offers nothing to his legacy . But now there's reports he's eyeing Mike Alvarado and is considering fighting him on May 17th . A man who Ruslan beat down , took his soul and knocked out . I don't think for a second Marquez is intimidated by the Russian at all . I think he's just very well aware that this is a fight where he could take serious punishment and also a fight where he can potentially suffer the first knockout loss of his career .
He doesn't want to fight anyone dangerous now that he's off the steroids. He knows there was too much suspicion about his physique against Pacquiao and is too scared to risk getting caught again. Ruslan would cook and serve him up like a burrito.
Marquez was not on steroids . Come on now , He landed the perfect punch at the right time . Much respect to Marquez for that beautiful knockout even though he made me lose money .
Does it? Honestly? Think big picture, now, long-term - not through your narrow horse-blinders of being really high on Provodnikov at present because of his meteoric 2013... Everybody would love to see Marquez vs. Provodnikov, it would be action packed, no doubt - but in reality, dropping and hurting (but failing to stop) an intentionally ******ed Bradley and beating Mike Alvarado coming off consecutive Rios wars and slightly drained - that doesn't put you in the running for a shot at someone like Marquez whose dues have been thoroughly paid over the course of a decade. Ruslan had a wonderful 2013, but people need to stop overrating him on the basis of it or thinking it should open the gates of paradise for him.
What is all this weird talk about Bradley being over aggressive in the Ruslan fight? He was true to form. Apart from Marquez i don't remember a fight where Bradley didn't bull rush his opponent. Provodnikov just answered the bull rush with his own fire and clocked him. Then Bradley was too hurt to effectively box.
JMM isa great fighter... but sometimes he acts like a spoiled, entitled brat. Inside the ring I love to watch the guy.
