Casa didn't look too good as he got up either, he still looked a bit dazed as he was put on the stool. I think the stoppage was fair, he got caught and floored, then floored once again meaning his opponent was indeed hurt.

Great fight. I thought it was actually pretty technical too. More exciting than I thought it would be.

my boy! coming through. I thought Casa had some good moments in the later rounds before getting stopped.

I am biased towards JMM, but any reasonable person can see that Pac wants no part of this man. He escaped 2 fights with him and then beat a cab driver with an alphabet title, while Marquez fought the best version of Casamayor we've seen in years, the #1 or #2 fighter in the division.

Manny will get seriously hurt by DLH, if he tries to come back to 135 he'll lose, and lose bad, to Campbell/Guzman/Marquez, maybe even Juan Diaz. Pacquaio has a lot of ring mileage, and the jump in weight class against a much stronger more powerful foe will have repercussions.

All of these fighters are getting old, I believe we just saw the end of an era, JMM defeating a faded, but still formidable, great fighter for his recognized title. No longer will we see match-ups of two guys at the top of their game in these classes, it could have happened with Pac-JMM 3, but Pac wanted no part.

Let history remember JMM as the best featherweight in a great featherweights era.

Great performance by Marquez. Casa put up a very good effort but in the end just got caught (I had it 6-4 JMM going into the 11th). He just took his time and waited untill the opening came, eventually he got Casa to make an error and then unloaded everything. Very few people predicted Marquez would stop Casa, he proved he has the power and the finishing ability to threaten any lightweight. It was a good fight, some people may think it was boring but I found it a very entertaining technical matchup.

Yeah, he tried to throw some back but Marquez easily spotted that he was hurt so his punches won't be too serious anyway and kept finishing. That's a sign of an awesome finisher, just showed serious speed there at the end.

Great technical fight. I thought round 8 was a thing of beauty. An excellent finish by Marquez right after casamayor's first down.

There is no doubt he was hurt. Marquez, I beieve, would have won anyway as it looked like he was turning the fight. However, with the few second left of the round, Casa should probably not have been stopped there. But it is no big deal.

Come on. That is being a bit too latino right there... The fight was far from technical, in fact both fighters used their heads and first line of defense. They should both learn some defense. It was just a slug-fest - which many peopel like. So nothing wrong with that, but it was anything but technical - at least not if we look at their defensive abilities.
