Bigger does not mean ****, yet morons still bitched about the fight being at 144 because it was a "major" advantage for Pac.

Yet, same people are still favoring Marquez against full-blown welters.

 

Margarito has the power to stop JMM but not the accuracy to land punches. JMM shut out; Same with current Mosley. The young, lightweight Mosley would have been a good fight. This one, no; Cotto is a toss up. I can see either guy but I'd slightly favor Marquez.

 

Yeah when I said size difference is a non-issue, I also meant that JMM could even beat up the Klithskos.atsch

Marquez is clearly there to be hit. People are now acting like he's a defensive genius when he was hit easily by Diaz and Katsidis.

 

He was willing to stand there and trade with them, something he would not do against a bigger fighter.atsch

But when Marquez gets hit, he adjusts. I don't think Marquez can conquer the world. I've favoring him over two very over the hill welter/super welterweights.

 

He is a better pure boxer than all of them, however they are true welters, so size\strength would be an issue.

My personal opinion is that he can take Shane and Cotto, but would struggle with Margo.

I know that sounds odd as Margo is the worst boxer, but he would pressure him far too much.

 

Look at his face. Now add a bigger guy to the equation. Pac is the same size as Marquez with the same physical dimensions. Margarito is 5'11 with longer arms and reach. Marquez will have to be clearly in range in order to hit him making being hit almost impossible for him. He couldn't put a dent in Pacquiao last fight. What is he going to do to keep Margarito from walking through him?

 

Risking being hit by Margarito just to adjust may not be a good thing.

 

Nah. I've followed Margarito for a long time. Never had one punch power. He broke opponents down over the course of the fight....I'd see this going the way of Pac/Margo with Tony only landing a few meaningful punches

 

If it is so easy, he could have done it already instead of fighting for peanuts in a lower division.

The maxim in boxing - the bigger the division, the bigger the purse still holds true up to this day.

 

Pac was also supposed to walk through JMM.

JMM can easily counterpunch Margarito all day. Agree that If Margarito started landing punches at will JMM would be in deep ****, but JMM has enough skills to possibly pull this off.
