I can't believe no1's talking about this fight, its a great fight with the winner to get Pacquao and what better way for marquez to make another statement by beating the guy pacquiao has lined up after DLH
I can't see Marquez moving up again anytime soon. He get's one belt from a 37 year old and now it's time to jump up for money? Rather see the guy fight the other lightweights first while he is there. What would be the point of Casa's belt in that's the case?
I'd like to see Marquez stay at his current weight class for a bit. A lot of good fighters there. And I think Hatton would rather fight Manny for bigger bucks.
Hatton has a fight scheduled with Malignaggi, wait for the outcome of that then we'll see if this fight is worth making. At least we know Marquez wants it.
More than likely, JMM will probably just try to take care of things in the lightweight division while he waits for a second rematch with Pac.. After Hatton when Pac moves back to 135, the fight can easily be made if JMM keeps winning..
No one other than you is talking about it because it won't happen. Hatton is fighting Malignaggi and then is hoping to fight Pacquiao in the summer of 2009 after that. Marquez will stay @ 135.
My sentiments exactly. Hatton needs to do nice work on Sonic The Hedghog to build this prospect up a bit.
