Man,,,,,, I would have loved to have seen this fight. Who wins 140???? Hatton gets a lot of crap on ESB but he beat a very good Tyszu, & was the MAN @140 for a long time. Very Good Fighter in his Prime. Maruez seems to do GREAT against agressive fighters, he usually KO's them. How does this fight play out??? I'm assuming most ESB picks Marquez by KO. I think it plays out like Marquez/Diaz1. Hattons relentless agressive style troubles Dinamita early. At the same.time though, Fatton is being countered badly. A bloodied, busted face Ricky walks into a monster overhand Dinamita right, & is put on ***** street. Marquez finishes the fight with a beatiful 4 punch combo, with the last punch being a Mexican Left hook to the body.
Styles make fights and I think Hatton is all wrong for Marquez. The mauling and rugged Hatton wear JMM down. The better fighter JMM by miles , but styles do make fights.
IMO it'd look a lot like the kastidis fight with more success for hatton. JMM struggles more with Hatton but ultimately the same kind of fight. Ricky is too wide open for JMM and I'm a huge Ricky Hatton fan. I do think he'd beat cotto at 140 though
I could see Marquez having a really, really rough going over the first five or so rounds. But from what I saw of Marquez against Pacquiao above 140, I think he's durable enough to take some steam out of Hatton with his well-paced body-shots and make the necessary tactical adjustments to walk Hatton into his counter-punches. At the end of the day, I like Marquez to take it by a late stoppage.
