Marquez vs Judah probable - July 30 in Vegas

Bar getting caught with something humongous early (Zab can pull out the occasional beast) and even then he's shown resiliance, I think Maidana would do a better job on Judah than Matthyse (not as good as Maidana IMO) managed, and he'd get him out of there late.

I think Judah is one of the most overrated fighters of the last ten years. Quality, no doubt but some serious deficiencies...like a better version of Victor Ortiz, really :yep

Juan Diaz would probably give JMM a more competitive (third) fight!!!

Judah's always had ability but he's always been a lor easier to hit than some people think.

 

No, I agree, I think Maidana would probably go over early but shows bottle and recuperation skills himself....Zab would do what he usually does when he realises the man in front of him is content to continue....unravel.

Judah is a top ten 140lber, and has beaten a couple of other lower top ten fighters (Mabuza, who had a good win over another 6-10 guy in Holt, and Matthyse, who had no one notable on his resume) but hasn't really done much to put himself amongst the best in the division. Having a reputation as a ***** doesn't help me rate him highly either, I'll take a limited guy over an occasionaly good fighter any day if he's more likely to not try and find a way out of it.

Maidana pushed Khan and Kotelnik hard, and beat a 6-10 fighter in Ortiz, and a 6-10 135lber/ocassional 140lber in Cayo (is that his name, was a dig to the body that got him out of there, he was highly touted but it's a decent rather than impressive win in my eyes, I wasn't sold on the kid) and, to be honest, appears more dangerous to the top 140lbers than Judah does IMO.

Mainly because he's more resilient and less shopworn.

 

I would say an even podgier Baby Bull @ 140 would be a great opponent for Morales.

-Not much of a puncher
-More rounded than Maidana, so another good test
-Not too difficult as he has a major deficiency; the tendency to unravel completely when cut
-As aforementioned, a good test but not too dangerous (with his degree and the fact he's pretty smart I think it's fair to say Diaz's heart isn't completely in it anymore)

I'd suggest Judah as a Morales opponent...but I imagine he'd stay away and land some sharp artillery on Morales every so often. As I've said many times in the last few days, if anyones gonna' bust up Erik let it be JMM, another big loss means Morales is further away from that fight and therefore further away from 'closure', and therefore more likely to carry on doing damage to himself.

 

Good fight all depends what Judah turns up.

 

His last fight, the bloke hardly landed a punch on him and he has got Pernell Whittaker in his corner.

 

Fair enough, I also think Judah had a fairly low output in that fight. And Mabuza isn't a great gauge for possible success against Marquez :good

 

That is true.

We all saw the problems Marquez had with Mayweather and I think the Judah fight would go a similar way to that just a closer fight IMO.

 

Its a great opportunity for Marquez to become a 4 weight champ and push for the Pac fight at a catchweight.

 

I have to say mate, this is one of the maddest comparisons I have ever seen. totally inappropriate IMO, in every possible sense
