Katsidis is the WBO mandatory ('interim' champion). It was announced before the Diaz fight. There's no 'picking' going on.
In light of all the criticism Pac is receiving for cherry-picking his opponents this is one hell of an ironic statement coming from a *******! :deal
Katsidis is one of my favorite fighters, but he's a B/B+ fighter. He has good power and pressure, but Marquez will hit him with any shot he wants and can take any punch that Katsidis can throw at him. Marquez 8th-10th round stoppage.
Mind-bogglingly stupid comment. Maybe the dumbest comment I've seen today and that's really saying something. Actually, I'm not sure I'm awake. I could only dream of something this ****ing stupid, it seems.
jmm doesn't need to be at his best to beat katsidis. jmm was giving pac all he could handle (i thought he won the second fight), no think pacquiao minus 50 thats katsidis.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJZwKr0e19E&feature=related[/ame] I disagree and have JMM taking it, but interesting analysis nonetheless.
Still boggles my mind how so many think this fight will even be competitive. Katsidis is simply not that good a fighter and JMM is clearly a level or two above him in class. the man is basically tailor made for JMM's style. Expect Marquez to dominate him and turn his face into a bloody mess before he stops Katsidis between 6 - 9 rounds.
as much as I loved watching Marquez he did show signs of age against Diaz. He tired in the last 3 rounds that I gave Diaz without question. Watching Katsidis against Escobedo he was relentless all night, come forward, total pressure. Against Mitchell he surprised me slightly. He was huge compared to Mitchell, but that aside, he did not come out all guns blazing looking for a quick knock out. He allowed Mitchell to throw whilst he remained calm yet slightly gun shy, looked to be picking his shots, then once he figured Mitchell out it was game over. Katsidis needs to come out and take it to Marquez for at least 12 rounds, be relentless and force Marquez into a stand-and-trade. If he can do that and he doesn't suffer from cuts he could force a decision.
