The B who bullied Naz, would beat any version of marquez imo

 

I do think though that Marquez was impressive in his fights with Pacquiao, better than Barrera imo.
But both Marquez and MAB in their prime though...

 

I had it wide for Marquez

 

I had it for Barrera, especially when you don't call that BS point deduction. Barrera clearly won that fight, his left hook was landing at will.

Conversly I think thats why Pacquiao struggled so much with Marquez, Marquez is a sucker for that left hook...which Pac doesn't have.

Marquez has great timing and accuracy - a perfect foil for a guy attacking in and out and exploding in with combos.

Barrera with his left hook is a punch marquez doesnt see very well (this punch is what floyd KD him with) and he doesnt move in and out so he's not easy to time like that....he fights you on the inside and kills you with precision.

It's why marquez went life and death with baby bull diaz and katsidis.

 

People like to point at the knockdown round and assume the judges would have scored that round 10-8 had Nady not missed the knockdown.
That round was a round Marquez was dominating. Before the knockdown, I was leaning on giving Marquez a 10-8 round.
Marquez suffering a knockdown at that point should make it an even round at worst for him.

If Nady calls the knockdown, you mean to tell me you turn a possible 10-8 round for Marquez into a 10-8 round for MAB?
Really? A 4 point swing over a flash knockdown?


As for the fight, a clear victory for JMM, and that with him going out of his comfort zone and becoming the come forward aggressor.
Nacho Beristain said well beforehand that because MAB was the sentimental favorite, his fighter could not afford to sit back and wait for MAB to lead.
If Marquez did that, Nacho felt MAB would not lead and the fight would become dull and uneventful, thus those rounds would be scored to the sentimental favorite.

Nacho Beristain basically let Marquez gameplan out of the bag and let everyone know Marquez would attack.
MAB still got thoroughly beat knowing Marquez' gameplan.


Marquez imo is more faceted than MAB and beats him at any point in their careers.
There's a reason why MAB always ducked Marquez until he was forced to fight him for the right to fight Pacquiao.
