It seems that Marquez just doesn't want to have a third fight with Pacquiao, having priced himself out with his team's proposal, which doubles what he got from the Mayweather fight. When Marquez went to the Philippines to ask Pacquiao for a 3rd fight, he reportedly said he will be willing to get less than $1M to do so, but now it appears to be closer to $10M gross. It was the same thing when after their first encounter, Marquez turned down the high $750K offer by Arum for a rematch with Pacquiao and went into hiding for 4 years, during which he took a losing fight against Chris John for a mere $35K. Marquez wants to make sure that their 3rd meeting will be his last hurrah, win or lose, much like an insurance security.

    Relax Addie, I can understand......

......this JMM-Morales matchup has got to be tough to swallow by anyone thats a huge MAB fan and dislikes Marquez.

......but the reality is that its the oldest of the 3 Mexicans still with the quality skills to fight at a high level, and thus he's in position to financially capitalize on it now, when the other two never paid him any mind when the matchups would have been quality.

......as Marquez was left out in the cold then, he deserves and merits sitting warm and cozy in the position he's in now!

Man up and get over you childish jealousy of Marquez and let the man prosper financially while he still is capable.
If there is a fighter in boxing today that deserves to prosper in the pocket and set himself and his family up for life, its Juan Manuel Marquez.

I like that you're a student of the game and I know you love boxing.......but your attitude toward JMM is quite frankly embarrasing to watch.
I know you can do alot better than that, but you need to grow up and get past the jealousy that at the moment its Marquez thats on top over the favorite of yours.

Another big difference is that Pac actually fought JMM...2X.

JMM will not even give Khan his shot, even just once. :hi:

****en hell, and this is how he wants to get a bout with the P4P king?, by facing a shot legend?

No one wants to face decent comp' to get a shot with Pacman except SSM (who got the shot) and Manny is copping **** for facing him?

    Erik > JMM

Mosley is bigger, more active, faster and hits harder than Morales.

Morales is far more shot than Mosley.

Mosley had been demolished by Pac.

What the **** is JMM thinking????!!!

Khan can wait, he's still relatively young and his time will come.
Marquez however is 37.....he must capitalize financially now while he still can.
That means he's got to pick fights that put money in his pocket.

After Morales, there is no one left to conquer at 135 lbs and it looks like Pacquiao is leary of Marquez and that means Khan might get the opportunity he desires.

Patience Patsy's, Marquez has already mentioned that the Khan fight at 140 lbs is a big possibility.

.......and guess what? Marquez is'nt dictating to Khan who he should fight in order for him to get a shot at him.:yep

Pac is older than JMM in terms of wear and tear. And a Mosley fight will definitely yield better financially than a fight with JMM.

JMM fighting Morales is a complete disgrace compared to Pac fighting Mosley.

And about JMM fighting Khan - let's cut the bull****. We all know he won't. ;)

Allright, we disagree as usual, but tell me, how many PPV's do you believe Pacquiao-Mosley will sell?
......I want your answer, and be concious that I'm saving this post to throw back at your face.:D

You can, but choose not too.

I would imagine this JMM-Morales match up has got to be tough to swallow for any true Boxing fan, as evidenced by the majority of the replies in this thread. People don't want to see Erik Morales get hurt, that's all.

Side note, would someone who hates Juan Manuel Marquez make this?

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6268zV-LoY[/ame]

Why would that be any concern of mine? I understand that Marquez needs to make as much money as possible whilst he's still able to fight at a high level, but should this be at the expense of Erik Morales? Not in my opinion, and I don't believe it has to be either.

I like the idea of Juan Manuel Marquez staying around the sport for another couple of years, taking part in exciting fights. I don't like the idea of him making money at the expense of a battle-worn, run down, Erik Morales.

Likwise, your attitude towards MAB is quite frankly embarrassing.

I'd suggest you need to look past your admiration for JMM and just see this match-up for what it is. A farce that no knowledgeable Boxing fan cares to see.

it would be higher than Marquez vs his same size, faded and shot Morales....
Mosley vs Floyd earned 1.5million buys while Marquez vs Floyd earned 1million...So, who's more marketable????the gate attendance of Marquez last fight where berto was in the undercard was only less than 5k while Mosley vs Mora had 13k attendance....Who's got more hits in terms of gate attendance?....

Marquez is gay for choosing his same size, faded and shot Morales instead of Khan.....Marquez last three fights were against bum, b and c class fighters, and now faded and shot fighter.....Marquez is a ducker of all time choosing his same size or smaller than him opponent who are bums, faded and shot fighter...

Why don't you tell me first how many PPVs you think Pac-Mosley will sell?
