    Appreciate the props, acb.

Funny you should ask that question, I was just thinkin' about it at Wild Card the other day watchin' Manny during one of his last sparring sessions before he headed for Vegas and the Diaz fight.

He's trully an enigma. If one didn't know what'd done, what he was capable of, you'd never pick him out as an ATG.

Sure he works like a demon, takes your breath away on the pads, and is cut like Bruce Lee, but sparring, he just looks like a very good pro: fast hands, fast feet, fast reflexes. Any number of lesser fighters are more impressive; the difference is how he lights'em up when he lands -- extraordinary!

Tell me that story is'nt so John?
Why on earth would team Marquez have the audacity to step into that elevator with the rival team?

This story interests me.....I would have waited for the next elevator, but out of curiousity, who in the JMM team made the first move and the choice to ride along with team Pacquiao?

Was it Nacho, JMM, or someone else in Marquez' team?

Was there at least a hello?
Any greetings or nodding of heads?

    Tell us more John......:D

Did you feel John that the silence was because of the respect the camps had toward one another?

I know you can give us more John, come on with it?:yep

It was just a very awkward few minutes, d. My guess is: Under any other circumstantes, Team Marquez would have waited for the next car, but probably felt they were under the gun.

I was standing in the back of the elevator, but it appeared that Nacho nodded to his team and they entered.

Don't think the quiet was out of respect -- 100% discomfort. All of us crammed up against each other.

 Ok now John, you've got to tell us now what was said within the Pac camp, when the teams got out of the elevator and went their seperate ways......what remarks were being said by Roach, Pac, or anybody else in the Pac team?

Were they upset that team JMM had the audacity to step into an elevator they were riding?

....or did they just laugh to and at themselves of the silence in that elevator.

You started this, now give us some of the juicy details?:D

Anything you can think of John?:deal :hey

I see what you mean....its as if Nacho and team Marquez not wanting to give Pac a mental edge by not stepping into an elevator they were waiting for just because they were there.

I can see where Nacho might have felt that stepping into that elevator would have given them a mental edge....kinda like saying, and actually literally meaning, "move over gentlemen, we've arrived!"

    Mental warfare!:yep
    Great stuff!:good

When the elevator opened on the ground floor, and both teams went in different directions, as a release of tension, team Pac exploded with laughter and Tagalog wisecracks. But Freddie very quickly had them with their game faces on.

Nothing more, p, just the fight itself. Coffee cups flyin' in every direction -- pure pandemonium in press row in the first round, with Pacs three KDs of JMM. A wonder there weren't any heart attacks.

If there were, it wasn't done with a lot of conviction.

What do you think of that fight looking back on it now? It was a very controversial fight, still is to this day.

Thankyou JG for sharing this with us.

Since you are friends and know some of the people in Pac's camp, you may wish or pass on sharing your thoughts on Pac's fights with JMM.

I dont know if you've made them public in this forum or not, if you wish and can, I know alot of us here would love to hear your thoughts on the outcomes of those fights, and your opinion on the decisions.

If not, thanks anyways for sharing what most of us never get to experience, a ride on an elevator with rival camps!:D :good

I remember at the time thinkin' if the one judge had scored the first round 10-6, as he should have, Manny would've won. But, if the queen had balls she'd be the king.

Still shakin' my head how JMM recovered from that first-round shellackin'
(he looked like he got runover by a truck) and regained his poise for the balance of the fight.
