I will tell you this, Marquez has improved his Body shot game and accurcy and has become much more patient, he is more patient in the beginning and in the end attacks when you are weak after all the body shots he connects on you. Marquez has had two good hungry fighters try to impose their will on him their young power and Marquez has dissected them and ended them in TKO Marquez has been training for what a PACQUIAO fight would be, a younger, faster"bigger" guy imposing himself on JMM. Marquez has now been accustomes to fighting at a higher weight as shown in KAtS fight. It will be a good fight... I agree PACQUIAO has been fighting at an incredible skill level, and seems to have inproved, especially in the conditioning area and movement but fact remains he has not really had to worry about the opponents coming at him with combos and counter punches, yes he looked awesome and great performances but none of them compare to the skills that JMM brings. Yes they are larger, but skill wise they do not match JMM. I can't wait for this fight, 140 147, who cares. Of course This is all my opinion in watching every single fight that included JMM and PAC post JMM PAC 2 145 VS 148 fight night is what matter and I cannot wait :bbb
Pac is already miles away from Marquez. If he wants to fight Pac at his best, come up at 147. Btw, Marquez has no right to dictate his terms as Pac is the biggest draw in boxing today.
140, 143, 147 or 150, they would weigh almost in the same weight range during fight night. any of these weights, jmm is unproven so pac will not get much credit. jmm should fight at 147 or 140 first while pac takes on floyd or berto.
Again it will be at 147... JMM has been quoted willing to go there if for any reason PACS team does not want the fight to be at a competitive weight. So 147 whatevers. 145 JMM vs 148 PAC is all that matters :deal
so do you think 140 would be more competitive and why? is it because pac would be draining at 140? the purpose of fighting at a cacthweight or in this instance, a middleground, is to avoid the bigger fighter from having a big size difference which in this case pac doesn't have over jmm. it would be skill for skill in whichever weight they agreed.
ok. we agree that what really matters are their actual fighting weights even if this fight is officially made at 147.
atsch No need to discuss, the fight is gonna be at 147.. that only happens when PACQUIAO is the benefactor.
actually i want this fight at 135 where jmm is proven so that there would be no criticisms of pac. but we all know that pac is past from skipping dehydrating himself. 140 is more possible but at this weight, pac would still not get that much credit since jmm is unproven while pac will sacrifice a bit and skip some meals. the most jmm could bargain is a catchweight at 143/144 where pac is weighing in his welterweight fights. but jmm knows he has to accept 147 since mosley is also begging for a fight with pac. i just hope floyd would finally man-up so that pac can get his rightful fight.
weight doesn't matter, marquez is another latino fighter and more importantly a floyd leftover. Its another win for pac, and only the mexicans are buying it competitive like just how they thought with margo:-(
140 on paper is obviously more fair. But if it is set at 147, will it honestly make that much of a difference? Pacquiao at a catchweight bout of 150 pounds against the huge Margarito, weighed in a measly 144. He couldnt even reach the welterweight limit. Against Marquez, an equal-sized opponent, he wont be worrying about wanting to be at heavier weight. Hell probably be 142-144 the night before, and coming in as his usual 148 on the night. A contracted limit of 147 will probably end up being a non-issue anyway.
Neither fighter would struggle to make either weight, hence it makes no difference at all. Can't believe how many people fail to grasp this simple point.
How is JMM a floyd leftover?:huh, when PAC and JMM already fought twice when Floyd decided to drag JMM up 2 divisions for a catchweight he didnt even honor? log out now will yah?:rofl
actually jmm is a pac leftover and floyd fought him after two gruelling wars with pacquiao. also pac would be fighting the slickest of the black boxers if only that boxer will find his urge to fight. bash jmm if you want but he has the bigger balls than floyd in wanting to fight pacquiao.
Having thought about it, it would be kind of ironic if Pacquiao fought Marquez at 147 and then his fans say how good he was when they discredited Floyd's win at 147 against Marquez.
