With all the talk recently about pacquiao being a much 'improved' fighter no one has really discussed what his so called improvements are and how they would benefit him in a match with Marquez. Lets discuss the weaknesses of Manny and how Marquez was able to capitalise on these in the past:

    1) Manny does not have an effective Jab at all at elite level - Some would say that he doesnt need one when he can lead with the straight left or a right hook but this is a glaring weakness which marquez can again exploit in this fight. If Pacquiao did have a strong jab or even a sharp one like say, Mayweather, Marquez would not be able to get his attacks off because he would be kept at a range which he could not counter from.

    2) Manny has a weak guard - Its strange how even with his hands covering his face, fighters are able to routinely bust through his guard and hit him. Marquez will be able to pierce manny's guard just as easily as he did in the previous two bouts.

    3) Manny is still off balance and out of position ALOT - The reason why this flaw is not highlighted as much in his recent bouts in the lack of lateral movement by his opponents. Again, this will be exploited by Marquez a third time.

    4) Manny still does not parry or pick off shots - Pacquiao relies mainly on his fast feet for defence - The problem with this is that when you fight a fighter with some quick hands your going to be in trouble. Let me make this clear, Marquez in the Mayweather fight was NOT slow. His speed was fine and so was his power. His problem against mayweather was that he was in with a fighter who had better timing and reaction times/reflexes. Trust me on this, ive watched damn near the entire mayweather marquez fight is slow motion and the difference in reflexes is almost night and day. This is important in how he lost the fight because Marquez is a counter puncher but FMJ is simply a better counter puncher.

There is also a bunch of other rubbish which is being peddled recently that Marquez is going to get blown out of the water by the bigger, stronger fighter. Dinamita will once again show all of the flaws above in clear fashion. Thats not to say he will win because there are always intangibles in a fight, especially this one but to say one fighter will dominate over the other is ridiculous.

Pacquiao was able to compete on an equal level with Marquez because of his superior physical/athletic ability. Pacquiao's physical/athletic/technical ability has improved since the first two bouts...maybe not massively. But against a declining, aging Marquez...this will most likely be the difference in this bout.

because regardless of who you thought won both fights they were extremely close.

So even if their abilities are exactly the same, you can't arugue that at this weight, it is very likely that Manny will be alot faster and stronger thant Marquez.

And even though marquez has the ability, he won't be able to react quick enough. Leading to a Manny KO

I don't get how people can make this sort of claim about this match.

Marquez doesn't look good at this weight, he is going to get blown up. Is it because he isn't good? No. It is because he doesn't belong at the weight he will be fighting at.

This is a mismatch. It is going to be worse than the Mayweather match... I can't believe "fans" wanted this fight...

Most people want the fight to be close. But Pac is fighting above 140 as if he was born as a natural welterweight
The good bigger man beats the good smaller man

    Pac by TKO or UD

marquez is too old and fighting out of his natural weightclass. He doesn't stand a chance imo . He'll make it an exciting fight while it lasts.

pac has improved. His balance and combinations are the most noticeable thing. but overall he's a smarter, sharper, more poised fighter then he was in hte lower weight divisions.

Sorta. Nope. His problem was FOOTSPEED. You're right but completely wrong. Mayweather was about three times faster than Marquez and controlled virtually every exchange by being (literally) three steps ahead. You'd have to be a ****ing imbecile to miss that. Or not know **** about boxing. Of course.

yep Mayweather was able to get out of the way of range at will and also tag Marquez. How is this possible? Is mayweather simply that great, the Michael Jordan of boxing? Not really. he had a guy who was moving like he had sand bangs and bricks tied to his legs.

That said, nothing changes. Marquez' best chance is for Pacquiao to get cramps all over his body and quit, yep slim indeed.

This weight will almost be the same as the weight they were fighting at last time. Pac and JMM were 145 and 141 for their second fight. And then against Margarito and Katsidis, they weighed 148 and 145. That's the same 3-4 pound difference. The weight will not be that much of a factor in JMM losing. The following will:

    - Pacquiao being stronger from not having to drain himself.
    - Pacquiao having improved technically (despite what the OP claims)
    - JMM having aged slightly.
    - JMM being inferior, athletically.

But I do agree that this fight is a lot more competitive than most are making out. You don't go from having two extremely close fights, to being blown away with ease from the same guy. As improved as Pacquiao is, JMM still knows him better than anyone else. This will be Pacquiao's most competitive fight since he fought JMM back in 2008.

Pac is going to stop marquez in 6 rounds. If jmm carries the weight well and doesnt get stopped he will make the fight closer, I think in that case he loses a clear but close decision. It would shock me if marquez schools pac at welter and clearly wins a decision.
