Marquez vs Vasquez III - who really won?

the 12th round clinched it for vazquez.

 

i don't know, i had to rewatch this fantastic fight again. what i remember was that the fight was close going into the last round and vazquez leaved no doubt on who won the championship round.

i was actually trying to look for good copies of the trilogy but unfortunately i cannot get one. one mate at work wants to watch and knows how good these fights were and he is not that much into boxing.

If Marquez won the final rd. then yeah I can see controversy there. Izzy just needed to win the 12th to retain his title and he did more than that he knocked Marquez down to win the fight. Any other decision that had Vasquez leaving the arena without his title is highly controversial.

 

Yeah. Marquez simply tried to survive the round while Vasquez made it a fight and got the KD to give him the edge.

Exactly what I was going to post. Had Marquez 1 point up before the 12th and the 10-8 round meant Vazquez won by 1 point on my scorecard.

I voted Marquez by accident, he's one of my favourite fighters but I had Vazquez winning by a point. Here's my full scorecard:

He won it in that last round. I wouldn't disagree with anybody saying Marquez won though.
