A lot of people say they want to see Pacquiao/Marquez III, (I wouldn't mind either to see Marquez GKTFO then Manny give some **** for him to drink to revive him), but on the reals, how can Marquez have a chance against Manny if he wouldn't even be able to beat guys that Manny whooped on. I know Marquez might just be "that" guy that Manny has problems with, (like Federer has problems against Nadal) but just wondering how JMM might do against Manny's previous opponents What yall think, how would Maraquez do vs... Oscar (No) Cocaine, I mean Ricky (50/50) Miguel (Hail to the naw) Joshua (No) Just sayin....:thumbsup
JMM has a chance against Hatton, since his style is pretty much tailor made for him, but then again JMM has shown that he doesnt belong above 135, so i agree its a 50/50. Against DLH, who knows, both JMM and DLH looked very bad the last time they fought as WWs, and Cotto and Clottey are too big and strong. In conclusion, Manny destroys JMM if they would fight again because the fights would most likely be at 140 or 147 where JMM is ineffective, while Manny is very effective there.
JMM beats the version of Oscar that fought Manny. They would both weigh roughly the same weight. JJM wouldn't need to cut anything an come in the ring the same weight he's been doing since featherweight (140-144). Oscar was a shell of himself at 145, unable to get his shots off an lacking any sort of snap. I believe JJM wins that match up quite easily. Marquez UD I give him a good shot at beating Hatton. Can't see him stopping Hatton but he has the tools to win a clear decision. Hatton gets alot of stick an that shot that pac landed would've knocked anyone out, up to WW. Can't see a stoppage in this one, i reakon Marquez stays on the back foot an counters the incoming Hatton. Ricky is sure capable of hurting Marquez tho an the Mexican would need to cover up from those body shots. Hatton scores well with judges for his attacking style so I'd stick my neck out an go with Marquez SD I can see Marquez having problems with Cotto early on, but see him being able to adapt an once he starts timing Cotto will take some of the later rounds. If its the 145 catchweight version of Cotto he might start to tire abit down the stretch or if Marquez can catch him with something hard early Cotto might start to back off alittle. Close fight for me. I'd go with Cotto SD Clottey will come not to get punched in the face, Marquez is smart enough to handle that style without leaving himself open. Dangerous fight for Marquez imo, he needs to box smart but has that warrior instint to trade. Marquez UD. We only have Marquez vs Floyd as an indicater as to Marquez does against guys that weight, but there isn't many people that have came out the other side of a Mayweather fight looking good. We don't know his ring weight for that fight but i believe it was a combination of both not looking good at the wieght an that he was fighting Mayweather. Out of the version of the fighters listed i give Cotto the best chance of winning. Cotto can mix it up an looked good early in the Pac fight.
I pretty much agree with this. Not easy fights for JMM, but winnable. Cotto could wear JMM down with his power as long as he didn't get mentally discouraged as he got tagged and timed.
Jokes aside... We have to stop thinking about resume v resume or better worded: fighter v fighter's fought. Unfortunately people still forget that STYLES MAKE FIGHTS! We can go on and on listing fights like a Hopkins v Taylor, Taylor v. Pavlik, Hopkins v Pavlikn trios. (I wanted to go Mosley v Cotto v Margaritom, but couldn't with the Marge *)
