He said the February comment just trying to emphasize his point that he wants to stay active. He will be fighting May 5 against either PAC or Sergio imo

I think Marquez is crazy if he doesnt make this fight for 10 mil, its great money for him and his family, do that fight then finish it with a bout vs morales and retire. It would be perfect.

I think 10 would be fair since that was the rematch amount. Maybe bump it up some to show respect for his last effort. Show a little class and give him a fair shake on PPV since he is obviously a HUGE factor if this fight happens and sells well.

You and I both know fairness and respect mean little around the table. But I agree Marquez is worth $10 million.

Marquez is obviously staking out a negotiating position. Interviews are going to be a little bombastic for the sake of the fans in light of the general concensus on the fight they can afford that right now. I think he will get a little sweeter offer and it will be marketed as a sign of respect. Or it will be called a roadblock so that Pac/Floyd can take place. I don't want to see this fight next. Even if Pac loses to Floyd this is still an interesting rematch afterwards because of the style match up and history.

lol he schooled pacman and you know that at least 50% of the PPV are because of him, i like the strategy force him to fight may or bite the bullet and give him a good pay day. He knows if manny losses with may he is going to either retire or run for a 4th fight with him. i think 25mill is ok considering pac got 20 + ppv .... so he gets a 30/70 ppv but 25 mill guaranteed i say its fair. the only place it isnt fair is in arum world...

Pac will probably agree to fighting in mexico, but not the 25M.

This is Juan's chance to build a legacy for himself and he is pricing himself out. 1-2 years from now he will prolly be going around in that t shirt of his saying I beat PAC thrice and be whining again.

Sadly the only way he can build a legacy in his career is if he fights PAC again and gets the nod.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Peace!

Obvious you aren't a promoter. Pac still holds the cards to giving him his biggest paycheck ever. There is no one else he can fight for nearly this much. I don't know if he could get the $5 mill fighting anyone else. People hate Arum because he knows the marketing. Arum has bitched in the past that other promoters don't do their fair share promoting fighters. They just sit back and ride the TV monies. Manny's career has been manufactured to some extent. The 154 pound title was as bogus as it comes but it was effective marketing.

Good for JMM. The only way i want to see this fight again is in Mexico at Estadio Azteca. You would have 130K people there and if they want to rob JMM they better cut a deal with the Zetas to protect them cause they will get ****ed up. It aint gonna be bottles they will be throwing in the ring. Its going to be molotovs!!!

But to be honest with you I dont even want to see a 4th fight. I know who has won all 3 and who the better fighter is. I want to see Morales-Marquez and Marquez vs the current 140 top guys along with Rios and Guerrero. Then ride into the sunset and retire with his bro.

I say 50-50 split and have it in Mexico.
