why not just meet at 140 then? Pac could make the weight. He weighs in 144 for his margarito fight.

Manny should be the last to complain about a catch weight. They should make that happen.

I give him credit for Hatton and Cotto fights. marg and Mosley are much too oppourtunistic on his part for me to credit. We knew he was a capable welterweight after whooping Miguel.

 

Sick and tired of catchweight fights it cheapens the sport. There are 17 Divisions for christ sakes pick one and fight at the limit.

This is encouraging news in relation to a possible match-up with Marquez. If Manny gets past Mosley and Floyd doesn't step up it would be another opportunity for Manny to prove indirectly that he's better than Mayweather. Beating Marquez inside the distance and with less of a weight advantage than Floyd would look good on Manny's resume and make some good money too .....

JMM was 145 on the night of the fight in his last fight. He will not come into the fight any lower than that. The weight thing with this fight is very overrated and they are both within 3 pounds on the night of the fight no matter what weight they cut to. Manny was 148 night of the fight in a fight at 150. JMM was 145 on the night of the fight in a fight at 135. They are almost the exact same size.

 

I agree. If the sanctioning body wanted to troll everyone to have Manny and JMM fight at 160, it doesn't matter as far as Pac and JMM's fight night weights are. JMM comes in at 143-145, Pac at 147-148.
