Never say never in boxing, but I really see this going to the scorecards, i would be suprised quite frankly, if somebody got KO'D....or stopped
floyd is only 5'7 1/2??? he is listed variously as 5'8 1/2 to 5'8 and 3/4. by the time they fight, jmm will not be 35. he is turning 36 this month and will hence be 36 by the time they fight. :rofl at the very least, i think it will be a wide UD as in Unanimous Domination. :yep
Don't under estimate Marquez . . . true PBF has all the advantages but expect JMM to give PBF a run for his money. You make it sound too easy. . . . but then again . . . your posts only justifies what many are saying. This is a mismatch all along . . . and PBF is taking the easy path by fighting a smaller man with a high P4P ranking. :deal
Marquez is 35, moving up 2 divisions from lightweight to weltherweight, after previously being a superfeather. That's 3 divisions in less than 2 years. Mayweather buckled Oscar's legs at 154. He battered Hatton at 147. Marquez didn't have an iron chin at 130, let alone 147. Of course he's going to get stopped.
This is just a showcase fight to showcase Floyds Talent. Where he can look good and come out without taking any punishment. This is just a fight to set up a bigger fight. Basically it's a complete mismatch I dont follow the hype, it's just hype, nothing more, nothing less Mayweather by decision...
The key advantages for FLoyd are his youth, less ring wear, reach, and blazing speed. I think Marquez can be competitive for a few rounds, but will ultimately get stopped late.
I just don't see JMM beating Floyd. JMM's best attribute is his ring intelligence but if he's a genius in the ring, then Floyd is Einstein. Add to that the reach, speed, age, and comfort with the weight class., it becomes too many hurdles for JMM to overcome. Floyd by clear UD. I don't see Floyd being aggressive enough to get a KO. He SHOULD win. If not, he can give his boxing equipment to his uncle to pour gasoline all over it and throw in the garbage can.
Id be surprised if Floyd DIDNT stop JMM. I expect Floyd to prove something and open up like he did in the Ndou fight. JMM is a great fighter but Floyd has several advantages to go with as well as his skill and talent.
Marquez will get stopped and thats the bottom line _ its not that he's coming up in weight, but he's stiff, he doesn't have good rhythm ... he has a shorter reach ... the fact that Floyd never fights the same at each fight will make it hard to prepare for a fighter like Floyd. Floyd will be pot shotting right hands from a distance ... mid to late rounds stoppage
