Exactly.......it was the movement that Diaz was in a confused state about, not so much Malignaggi's speed of hand.

Mayweather has exellent one shot pop on his shots, and it was something that Marquez had to guard against in his attempts to press the fight and charge in......
.....thats not something thats would be worrisome for Marquez against Malignaggi.

Listen guys, I think we can all agree that Hatton does'nt have the best of chins.......he's a fighter that has been not just stunned, but badly hurt in his fights against Collazo, Mayweather, Lazcano, and KTFO by Pacquiao......
......and that same chin walked right through Paulie's slaps........
.....because of not respecting Paulie's power, Hatton was able to just march right through and outjab him, not just maul Paulie, but actually technically outbox Malignaggi for stretches of that fight.

I could only imagine what Marquez who's much more sound technically, and can take a much better shot than Hatton would do to Malignaggi.




The only way Malignaggi survives JMM the whole 12 rounds imo, is to do what Smoke Gainer did against Marquez, run for his life in survival mode.

This is sickening, go back and look at the Hatton fight for Christ sake........

Paulie had been in survival mode not fighting back for a few rounds before the ref made the decision to stop it.
I'm sorry, but a fighter like Paulie who goes into survival mode and does'nt try to make adjustments during a fight to turn the tide......
......is completely satisfied and worried about him crossing the finish line.......

I think it could be a hard fight for JMM, he has those 2 KO wins but those are guys that traded with him and were easy to hit.

Dont forget he struggled with Diaz and was getting hit a lot in the early rounds until he made some adjustments. Paulie will move around a lot more and JMM wont be able to hit him enough to break him down, if Cotto and Hatton couldnt really break him down (Hatton fight shouldnt have been stopped imo) then I dont think JMM will be able to.

I think Hatton would be an easier fight for JMM than Paulie because atleast Hatton is there to be hit.

As much as I hate Guido Paulie, Marquez does not do well against counter punchers. 50/50 fight.

 

it would be a good fight for both...anyone who says paulie should fight JMM at 135 is wrong cuz jmm is not going back there and paulie has never been there so why the **** would he have his biggest fight at 135.....he can't even make that weight....140 is fair and a great fight....PM is battle tested...marquez won't take this fight

I think JMM is only about half of himself at 140, but half would be enough to stop Paulie. Paulie won't be able to outslick him, JMM will hit him plenty. I personally would prefer to see JMM drop back down to where he can really fight, 130 or 135, but he won't. He's still chasing Pac, and he will until he retires. Pac is JMM's great white whale lol

 

I think Marquez is overrated. And the talk of a Hatton/Marquez fight is great for Marquez. He will stop Hatton in the midrounds. Good matchup for him. Marquez always has good matchups-except for the John fight. And he did not beat Pacman ever.
