Hopefully we can get the morales fight this year, or rios or bradley late 2012.

I cant imagine him and morales retiring without fighting its stupid. So many great fights can be made for him at 140 and the fact he is kinda a free agent promotionally there's no reason any can't be made. Here are some I'd like to see:

    Morales
    Khan
    Peterson
    Rios
    Maidana
    Bradley

I think he can win any of these fights

I'll be very sad when the time comes but as a fan,I'd like him to go soon.I fear that light welter could be all wrong for him. Some far lesser fighter will make the weight pay one day and it'll be totally misrepresentative of their respective abilities.
He could fight Pacquaio at 175 and give him nightmares. It's what he does.

Those all seem like really fun fights to watch. What's cool about JMM is that you can actually imagine him fighting them unlike other stars who might take easier fights.

Glad to hear that, I just hope he doesn't fight PAC again. He already proved that he can easily beat him. So many battles to fight at 140-147, he isnt going to win a decision over PAC and if he gets knocked down he might as well quit because he definitely won't get the decision.

**** yes... he still has great fights left and is still P4P the best in the top 3.

He could take on Peterson Khan winner IMO especially if peterson wins and so much else from 135 to 140.

Since he is gonna stick around for sure for 2 years.... plenty of time to do it...

I would love for him to face Peterson in July, Pacquiao Bradley winner in Novemember... then Morales money fight, and then end it with a good showing against a future start like Gamboa/Rios...and if he wins that then DA DAMN! :good

Future Mexican Legend going out with a bang... IMO Top 5 of Mexico's best ATG fighters!

I do not want to see JMM fight any young fighters. I don't want these young guns building their resumes by beating a past their prime ATG. Do you know how hard it was to watch fighters like Khan put a beat-down on MAB or Gomez stopping Gatti. I would rather see JMM fight some vets who still have something left that would make for a pretty interesting fights. Obviously a fight with Morales would be AWESOME, but JMM vs Guzman would be a great chess-matchL A Defensive Counter-Puncher vs A Smart Counter-Puncher. Humberto Soto would be a good fight also.

But No Rios, No Broner, No Peterson....I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THAT!!!

To be honest, I'd like to see him go, the man accomplished all he could and is an ATG, it's time when it's time, I think he should just fight this guy (forgot his name now), see if he can score another Pacquiao bout, if not then just leave boxing.

^^ marquez still has a lot left though.. Both Marquez and Nacho have the desire to continue until 2013 with 3-4 fight planned this year.

Peterson/Rios/Gamboa fights are not to much for this ATG to handle IMO.

I'm with you man. I love Marquez and wouldn't want to see him destroyed by a Rios.

I was crushed watching Chavez torn to bits by Hoya.
