Marquez's key to the 4th Pac was weight/str training. Weight lifting is key to win.

In the first fight he was hit like you said, but Pacquiao ate it. Did it sting? I would assume, but he wasn't in danger of taking a knee.

In the second fight he was caught off balance with a flush shot and wobbled. But wasn't hurt and wasn't about to go down. Actually Marquez didn't even try and follow up. He wasn't even close to going down.

Which is my point. For all the shots he hit Prime Manny with he never got close to putting him on the canvas.

 

I'd say the shots rocked him. I didn't say he was on the verge of going down but they were hard shots that had an effect. To me that shows he was always capable of doing what he did in fight 4 it just never happened

JMM KO'd guys from 126 all the way to 147 scoring some of his best stoppages at 135. He was always a dangerous puncher

 

Not denying that. All I'm saying is he couldn't drop Pacquiao at 126 or 130 and quite frankly when he wobbled him he didn't even go in for the knockdown.

All I'm saying is he couldn't do it when Manny was in his best weight classes.

It was a good KO, I've never denied that, but it's overblown because it was at 147 and Marquez had the worst case of acne I've ever seen on a 40 year old.

 

I think if you fight a guy enough times eventually something like that KO occurs

And yea the acne got real bad vs Alvarado

 

The Pacquiao fight was the audition. Marquez was offered a sponsorship deal with Proactiv after the Alvarado fight.

pac has been hit with the same shots from prime marquez during the 2nd and 3rd fight and pac didn't even showed signs of getting hurt. but an old marquez in his 40's can suddenly generate so much power with hulk like muscles can knockdown pac? somethings wrong here.
