We know what happened in 09. He was dominated thoroughly by May. It was a shutout, 12-0.

    60% of May's punches vs 12%.

I didn't see a single shot Marquez threw that even damaged May.

Afterwards, he goes on to say "He should go his way and I should go mine"

    Why?!

    Discuss.

If the weight was really an issue, why does he not go after him at 147. :think

I think Marquez knows that he would be shut out in any weight, any time. He wouldn't have a prayer. May is just that much better.

Weight was an issue and you want it to be at even HIGHER weight of 147?

Fight with Floyd should have been at 140, Marquez is too small.

Floyd came off a 2 year lay off, Marquez had everything going, he though he could win, otherwise he wouldn't have taken the fight. Don't make excuses for a guy who got shut out for 12 consecutive rounds, even getting knocked down by someone some of you like to call '' feather fisted ''...

Marquez at 147 is not the same as 140, it's a fact. Not an excuse.
Canelo took the fight at 152, doesn't mean he was at his best.

Pacquiao already lost 5 times, if Floyd lose once, why would it matter to you, Floyd would still have only 1 lost, and that is to the other guy who's considered the ''top'' of this generation, while Pacquiao lost plenty, he should even have 8 loses, as he lost all of his fight to Marquez but due to politics they gave him the nod.

JMM's whole legacy is built around giving Manny "trouble" in route to a 1-2-1 record against him. Outside of Manny JMM hasn't really shown to be all that great a fighter. At least not ATG. He struggled against baby bull diaz and mike kiatisdias before knocking them out. floyd put all his flaws on display and he knows he has 0 chance against him

Kinda like Floyd struggled with Maidana. Before eeking out a close decision.
