Interesting. I can see Bakole/Foreman comparisons but not Dubois/Briggs. Dubois might even be more like a young Foreman/Tyson hybrid at this point!!

According to Billy Nelson, who has said this many times, there is no way they'd put Dubois in with Bakole unless it is mandatory.

So Billy Nelson talks up his own fighter? Not much of a surprise, is it?

Would be an entertaining fight for sure. Dubois likes to go right at opponents and Bakole likes to stand and trade too and doesn't have the foot work to get out of the way. So it's really going to be a slugfest.

Have to favour Dubois, he's more proven right now and Bakole doesn't have a great gas tank and could fade if he doesn't take Dubois out in the first half of the fight. If it get's into that 2nd half, I see Bakole fading and getting outworked and then stopped.

No, but it's not hard to tell when Billy Nelson is stating the truth and when he's either bluffing or kissing arse. I don't think Dubois would be eager to face Bakole.

I'm not suggesting he would be keen, however, I do think Dubois will fight anyone. Look at his record. I like Martin but will temper this by saying I feel his win over Anderson is slightly overrated. He beat a pretty inexperienced kid and had to go to war with him at times. He ate a lot of shots in that fight. Yes, he beat the American up but he seemed to rely on chin and engine as his main defensive tools. Style make fights and Dubois had that hurtful, thudding jab in his arsenal, and he hits harder and more consistently hard than Anderson. Bakole might be a force, sure, but I do wonder how his old Foreman impersonation will hold up against more seasoned fighters in actual fights, not sparring. Its gonna be an intersting few years for sure.

I am not sure who is overrating the Anderson win. Most people who rate Bakole highly seem to do so with foresight that he will be competitive against anyone. I wouldn't say that Bakole had to go to war at times with Anderson. He clearly didn't care about being hit. It was child's play to Bakole. It was similar to Joyce letting Takam unload on him. Not very wise for longevity's sake but he couldn't have cared any less about being hit by him. Dubois took a ridiculous number of right hands against Hrgovic.

Dubois won't face Bakole unless he is backed into a corner. He will impress the masses more by knocking out the overrated Parker, anyway, so it makes sense to choose Parker over Bakole.

It jist seemed to me that a lot of noise suddenly started after the Anderson fight, maybe I'm wrong. Kids a handful, no doubt. As I said, interesting times

What happened to Bakole vs Kabayel? I thought that was scheduled for Feb. Either way Dubois has got to be feeling quite confident now and I think he'd stop Bakole late.
