I just feel super heavies would bully him, Zhang would have smashed him in the 1st round, he was too slow on his feet and stationary v the bigger man.
His reach was a problem, Bakole`s jab was in his face and he couldn`t slip it to get inside, he needs to spar some super tall heavies to get used to that.
Literally no defense. Bakole stood upright like the Burj khalifa with his hands low. No head movement, no slipping, parrying, feet like blocks of concrete, no real guard. He stood there and LET Anderson throw over a dozen shots to the body. And rather than bother with defense or countering, he took the caveman approach and simply used Anderson letting his hands go as an opportunity to trade or throw shots of his own. I don't care how big you are. Simply standing like a statue letting George Foreman hammer away at your body is suicide. Bakole would be urinating blood win or lose (and yes, he would lose).
Foreman doesn't have great defense himself though and Bakole regardless of what you think of his resume could be the biggest puncher Foreman has faced
I didn’t misunderstand a thing. Joyce getting knocked out by a southpaw who stands several sizes bigger than Foreman and throws straighter punches doesn’t mean much.
Lol um back 50 years ago there were fighters like Horst Geisler who was 6'6 260 plus, Robert Renfrow 6'7 250/280 pounds. Jack O'Halloran who was 6'6 250 and Foreman beat 2 of these guys. Foreman also weighed 267 when he came out of retirement. When Foreman came out of retirement there were guys like Lance Whitaker, Mike White, Michael Grant, Jorge Luis Gonzales etc who were 6'7 to 6'10 and between 250 and 300 pounds. Then you also realize the current heavyweight champion of the world is a 6'3 200 pound guy, Then you also realize that Michael Hunter a 6'1 210 pound guy knocked out Martin Bakole. You then also realize now days 99 percent of the heavyweights are either on steroids or just out of shape. In anyc ase even a old Foreman would knock out Bakole.
