This guy is one of the hardest punchers in HW division for sure:\ - the first man who legitematly stopped iron-chinned Mariusz Wach - the second man who legitematly stopped defensive wizard with a good chin Kevin Johnoson (Milas stopped him on cuts) - knocked out very durable Ytalo Perea in 80 seconds Add here that he throws the punches with extremely weird angles which makes them harder to block./ And he has good work rate I would love to see Martin Bakole vs Arslanbek Makhmudov. That would be a war!
Well, he is slow on his feet and his defense is far from good loke @MarcelCerdan13 said in another thread, but his power is real and he throws the punches in bunches with very awkward angles.
Bakole fought Hunter in only his 12th pro fight, looked off and not bc Hunter was doing anything special. I would probably go with my initial pick in a rematch and go with Bakole in the future if they meet again . The Johnson stoppage isn't shocking when he just had a fight against another under the radar prospect the 6'9 Zakhozhyi ,hard to stop a guy who comes to survive but Johnson was not going to be 100% in this one ,no way. I would be worried if Bakole and his style didnt get the stoppage. lol I guess I put Bakole on par with a guy like Mahkmudov ,mention here both about 5th spot with up coming prospects.
In Kingpin's defence he had fought the weekend before, so Bakole's win and manner of victory was probably a tad flattering. Jury still out for me...
I missed the fight yesterday because it was too early on the card so just seen it on YouTube and pretty disappointed to see Bakole fight quite dirty in there. Repeated rabbit shots. Not even remotely unintentional he tried quite a few times in the first round to chop down a very hard right hand onto the back of Johnson’s head and the ref bizarrely ends up warning Johnson. Then at the end of the round 3 Bakole lands a very late shot after the bell. I guess you need that spite in heavyweight boxing but ffs Johnson was a sitting duck in there and the rabbit shots were clearly unnecessary.
I mean Usyk won but in now way did he handle him. Clearly beat Hunter though. When Usyk's career is over and Hunter's as well, I expect both to be the biggest name on each others resume and Hunter to be clearly Usyk's best win.
