    Round 4

Cunningham is scoring with jabs and crosses stepping in, then ducking and covering up when Psonko returns fire - usually in the form of lunging rights cocked low on his chest. Psonko waves the jab around, mostly to set up the mousetrap bar of his right but is unable to penetrate Cunningham's turtle shell. Cunningham places his feet just within range and unloads on Psonko's body, leaning in and working from a tight defensive posture. Psonko skips back toward the ropes with light pot shots flung straight up in Cunningham's path. Cunningham is chasing Psonko into the ropes and only barely missing on chances to keep him trapped as Psonko seems to have his backside lined with Crisco.

    10-9 Cunningham

    40-36 Cunningham

    Round 5

Cunningham is continuing to mush the obedient dog with the lash of his left jab and threat of the heavy right cross on the brow followed through on at intervals when Psonko lets his gait slow or fails to navigate a corner deftly enough. Psonko freely puts his fists up to counter but without any mean intentions, shying away even while throwing an odd hook and only really touching Cunningham on the chest with a few poking jabs. Cunningham is walking him down but not committing to finishing, letting Psonko escape each time.

    10-9 Cunningham

    50-45 Cunningham

    Round 6

Cunningham is flicking jabs tiredly at Psonko now, seeming almost bored with himself. Cunningham is content to exchange with Psonko at mid-range, not forcing the issue as Psonko swoops from side to side while backpedaling and lightly flurries in counter. Cunningham emits a deep sigh after Psonko exits the pocket, and then goes after him. 1-2s score for Cunningham and please the crowd but make no real impact as Psonko rolls with them in flight. Psonko is resigned to losing, and Cunningham to points victory. A few spirited hooks leaping in by Cunningham, but half-hearted.

    10-9 Cunningham

    60-54 Cunningham

The contest is scored by the referee, 60-55 to Cunningham.

    There really wasn't a level 10-10 in there for Psonko...maybe the 6th?

Yeah. One of those odd cases. From his build and style, you would think he was someone who racked up lots of knockouts. When he actually throws punches and lands, however, they sort of just quietly go thunk. :conf

Part of it might be lack of a killer instinct, as he showed no urgency in getting rid of Psonko (when given their gulf in ability the door should have been open) - but it's also probably a lack of natural inborn power too. Again, strange, as he looks a strong lad...and besides lacking spite, his punches don't leave much to nitpick as far as technique, especially for early days like he is.

I get the feeling he doesnt think he can take risks cos he is 29 so he isnt gonna go in for the kill incase he gets caught coming in. Stylistically he is good to watch but the lack of power takes away abit of the interest in his fights.

    Round 1

Heffron is targeting the body from long range, batting down at Gray as he falls in to clinch. Gray is ducking very low past the waist, twisting himself around like a log in a stream and exposing the back of his neck to Heffron, who shows considerable restraint in only throwing at legal targets. Heavy straight combos by Heffron stepping in. Counter hooks by Gray, high with the left and down to the body with the right - when he isn't spoiling.

    10-9 Heffron

    Round 2

Heffron is forcing Gray to relent despite Gray's incipient eagerness to plant his feet and sling hooks, combining that upward-traveling left with the right cut to the bod. Heffron is putting the jab straight in between Gray's wrists and following with piercing right crosses or even parlaying into piston combos, barking all the while. Gray becomes unsure of what to do with his arms when Heffron switches it up and starts burying stiff jabs in his belly. Gray consequently lowers his guard to protect that area with his elbows, but only results in opening his chin to Heffron's quickly raised jabs and combos.

    10-9 Heffron

    20-18 Heffron
