Martin Gethin vs. Ammeth Diaz & Chris Keane vs. Neil Dawson RBR

Round 2

Gethin is jabbing over and buzzing against the top of Diaz's head, getting countered to the body. Hard lead right by Diaz, crashing into Gethin's cheekbone. Gethin drops some clubbing rights stepping forward, but is eschewing defense and leaving a lane for Diaz's uppercuts. Gethin walks in behind a jab and gets touched up below the arms by Diaz busily chipping away downstairs. Gethin pushes a jab out from his guard, missing as Diaz rolls his shoulders around winging in body shots. Jab scores for Gethin, but Diaz gets in with the uppercut. Diaz unrolls his left arm, jabbing slowly into Gethin's gloves while turning him, just keeping his sense of distance.

Could be 20-18 either way, tbh. Close rounds.

 

Round 3

Gethin is hooking in low, then lifting the arm for an uppercut with a turn of his wrist. Diaz catches him with a left hook across the face. They've switched roles now, Gethin going for real estate downtown while Diaz headhunts. Uppercut and overhand by Diaz. Gethin jabs into his guard. Left uppercut, straight right by Diaz. Gethin is rocked. He eats another right hand while moving in to clinch. Diaz crouches and jabs the body. Gethin misses a jab wide of Diaz's head and gets hooked across the right eye socket. Gethin is starting to get pushed back now, pawing his jab timidly. Diaz hurls a right up and over the Gethin jab. Gethin is beginning to look marked up. Diaz keeps the jab on him, pressing in. Hard right hand lead by Diaz, narrowly missing as Gethin leaps away, followed by a blocked left hook. Diaz is throwing power punches in succession.

I'm starting to feel very confident in my Diaz stoppage pick now.

It's looking to be only a matter of time. When Diaz ratchets up the aggression, Gethin seems totally petrified.

 

Round 4

Gethin lands a counter right as Diaz wades in. Body jabs by Gethin from outside, creeping left and right gingerly as he places them. DIAZ SLAMS A RIGHT HAND down on Gethin's face. A few more, Gethin hurt. Gethin rallies back and cracks Diaz with a short climber, knocking him back a step into the ropes. They tie up briefly, arms knotted. Diaz steps left and jabs at varying altitudes. GETHIN CATCHES HIM WITH A COUNTER 1-2. ANOTHER. Diaz now is hurt, and holds. Left hook by Gethin, pushing Diaz across the ring. Hammering rights behind the left hook. Diaz crouches and springs up with his own left hooks, but is still on wobbly legs. Wild uppercut combos by Diaz, thrown with straightened knees and thus no anchoring or leverage, just wild errant skyward arm punches. Diaz backs up and paws the jab.
