watched footage of martin ilunga from last nights show in manchester, this guy looks very tasty indeed, he destroyed Akinlade on the first round and it took Nathan Gorman a points win over 10 rounds.
if billy nelson is correct this guy could well be a dark horse in the heavyweight division, how would he go against nick webb, dave allan or tom little?

I saw that result over the weekend, Akinlade is limited but tough, so it was a good result on paper. I'd be interested to see him in with a Tom Little or somebody like that.

He should face James 'The Devil' Stabler if he wants to be taken seriously in the HW division. He's recently out of prison but badly hurt AJ in sparring and AJ refused to spar anymore, he's also dished out beatings to Chisora, Whyte and Tyson Fury and even KO'ed Hughie Fury cold. Someone needs to get Eddie Hearn on the dog n bone and tell him to set up a super fight between him and David Price, 2 real champions going at it, this is what we need.

Your going to have your work cut out unfortunately with Martin Billy, as with the **** side of boxing he will be seen as big risk low reward and I would imagine he won't sell many tickets. I hope though the boy succeeds and gets a fair crack of the wipe but as you know it doesn't always work that way, best keeping him fighting fit as his best opportunities might come as a late replacement.

Your wrong on this occasion mood ive had several notes of interest from top promoter from home and abroad in Martin.
Why hold someone back when he clearly has an abundance of talent, fans will pay to watch quality as well as popular fighters

Well that's gr8, I am glad to see that is the case. Watched a couple of his fights the other day the lads got talent, never thought there was any reason for you choosing to hold him back just feared others would by not giving him an opportunity as you must admit it's low risk big reward for so called names in this country. Heard Joe Joyce team want a hard opponent for first fight have you put Martins name forward ? I would give him a very good chance in that fight.

On another point Billy do you feel like your stable is the strongest it's ever been so far ? Fair enough you don't have a world champ but you have a few fighters British level or better and a couple fringe British class added to fact all them are on the up and not way down.

No doubt this is the strongest stable I've had, three guys at British level in simmo, broths and gary then tommy Philbin will be there very soon, Martin is a fantastic work in progess and young Trotter unbeaten in four.
Obviously having domestic and world champions is great but so is having a happy gym, nobody above there station

Ilunga looks a bit crude to me but he's a strong banger who definitely has potential. Would love to see him in with the Allen's and little's of this world before too long.

However I think activity is key at this stage in his career and that is something that he has been sorely lacking so far.

I see he is already calling out Bellew, so he can get revenge for his brother.

That is the fight Martin dreams of and he's more than capable of fighting Tony

I don't think he looks crude at all has alot to learn as one would expect but does a lot more right than he does wrong. Looks like he has terrific head movement and a good Jab, terrific balance. Do think he loops his punches though needs to throw them straighter or it will haunt him at top level but let's be honest as a heavyweight he's a baby.

Always nice to have ambitions and targets, but can't see TB sticking around long enough for the fight to develop. Can see him having maybe 2 or 3 more fights max.
