Couldn't see Lindsay losing last night. I had a large slice of humble pie for my breakfast this morning. Congrats to your team. Hope you didn't have too many guinness!

 

Like a British Marquez-Katsidis ending. Lovely to hear. He's a class act in and outside of the ring.

I think the skill level on show was very high for a domestic bout. Both guys can go onwards and have brilliant careers. Lindsay could of easily wilted under the attacks of Simmo. But he showed a champions heart and will come again no doubt.

 

Good to hear.

John was tip-top last night, his best win yet and I thought his defense looked tighter and he fought with real maturity.

They seemed to have a lot of respect for each other. Great fight and i would love to see a rematch in Glasgow.

I've always liked Simpson. Good to see his career's back on track after close losses to Appleby and Smith. Will he go for a Euro shot Billy?
He's good enough no doubt.

Last nights fight was why I love domestic boxing so much. Wish I was in there at the show to watch it.

Simpson was having a great deal of success with the jab. After the second round you could see Lindsay's eye was swelling up nicely so it made sense to target that and in the later rounds it lead to Lindsay taking a lot of shots he couldn't see. Fine by me.


Congratulations Billy and good to hear that Martin and his team were so gracious in defeat. I hope 2011 is just as successful as 2010 was. :good

 

It was a top draw fight ... Ive backed Simpson on a few occasions to my benefit but last night I opposed him thinking Lindsay was the more progressive fighter ..

John Simpson I take my hat off to you ! ...walked down Lindsay over 12 hard fought rounds and no complaints from me ... rematch with Smith then give Lindsay another crack.. after that who knows ; Scottish boxing is in good shape at the moment ..
