4 times he has tried and 4 times he has loss. Murray has had the worst luck in boxing when it comes to losing title shots.

    Fell victim to:
    Abraham
    Golovkin
    Martinez
    Sturum

Lucas as come as close as to actually knocking a champion out and still not winning a title. How the **** could that possibly feel. Probably like taking a hot chick home and her talking to you all night about the bible. Still the only guy that didn't beat old Zab Judah.

Fell victim to: (As far as titles goes)
    Postol
    Garcia
    Peterson

Murray deserves every loss he has, because he never does enough to win.:deal

Muuray's average in every way imaginable other than his chin, which is pretty solid.

Murray does have a tendency to just not do enough. Considering where the AA, Sturm and Martinez fights where staged, it is rather daft.

Still, i like the guy. He isn't great at anything, just solidly basic, yet he has performed admirably against better and more experienced fighters.

Murray and Matthysse could improve, maybe La Cucaracha may whip them back into shape. Lucas was fighting real lazy against Postol. Like his killer instinct was gone.

For the umpteenth time, Lucas is a 2nd tier fighter, that is all.

Murray beat Matinez, Strum and Abe. If he was the home fighter in those fights or a HBO Yank hype job and did exactly the same he would've damn near pitched a shut out.

Go and look on the round by rounds on those threads. The vast majority who watched think Murray did enough to win all 3 (especially the Martinez one) in all those fights.

You have a bias against Murray will bend over backwards to score any round that is close to being close against him.

You have a bias for Brit fighters and bend over backwards to score any fight for them. Lederman even scored Martinez-Murray for Martinez by a point, it was a close fight but Murray didn't do enough to pull it out, he dropped the ball like he always does.

Agree'd, he isn't that good. That being said. I thought he beat Abe yesterday comfortably. In a perfect world, Abraham and his meager punch output of 5 to 6 punches a round would never win a decision against a guy as active as Murray was. And between the two, Abraham was the one that was staggered more than once.

Murray, Macklin, Geale, Barker, those guys wouldn't be top 10 guys most years in the 90s.

I always thought Sturm was the one who was robbed in that fight. Thought it was a clear win for him.
