Saying that he gave his all and should have no regrets finding out he is a level below a class opponent who should progress to ATG status.

Murray threw and landed more punches on Golovkin than his last 4 opponents combined.

That's hardly deserving of the tag 'punchbag'.

You cannot sugar coat that performance last night.

This was a one sided contest, Murray was battered all over the ring and he is simply nowhere near the level of GGG.

One tough *******. Like the original poster stated, I too was proud of Murray last night for his fighting spirit. Absolute respect.

Pro Punter is easily the biggest idiot on here. Has no respect for fighters what so ever, he has no boxing brain at all also. Murray was incredibly brave last night and I was impressed by everything last night including his performance which seems quite strange. The reason I am inpressed is because he landed quite a lot and really did some decent work but he was just unable to maintain it for 3 minutes of a round. He is miles from the level of GGG but he is as close as anyone else in the middleweight division. Champion in the making!

Murray did come out with a few disparaging comments towards Macklin, which did not endear him to us Macklin fans, true. But EVERYONE who us a boxing fan has got to hugely admire what Murray went through against GGG.

Did you really think Macklin went in with Golovkin seriously intending to win len? I don't, and while it wasn't as bad as the total non-effort of Rubio, Macklin showed nothing like the determination Murray did. For me Murray called Macklin's performance as he saw it.

Can't believe people are putting Murray down, typical keyboard warriors. Go down your local gym and take a few taps of a half decent amateur, realise how much they hurt and buzz you and then think about what Murray was dealing with and going through in there.

He did fight back too. He just didn't have the tools to put a dent in GGG.

Let MM recover and then I for one would like to see him in with a Quillin or a Lee - hopefully Lee.
