    Interesting.

Hatton really has made a pig ear of the promoting lark. It's not as easy as many fighters think it is.

I thought Murray had a choice to fight either GGG or Strum?

    It takes two to tango.

Maybe Murray isn't easy to work with?

How the hell do you get that? He drew with Sturm in the first fight and a lot of people felt he deserved the win. I agree that GGG is too much for Murray but he's already shown he can compete with Sturm.

The offers had probably been sent, his promotional team probably made a hack of it though.

I imagine word getting out that Hatton had turned down a Quillin fight IN THE UK probably brought this on though. Bet they declined to tell him about it and when he heard his first call was his lawyer.

Murray's shown he can barely out compete Sergey Khomitsky.

And if you want to say he took Khomitsky lightly, the same could be said about Sturm & Martinez in regards to Murray. He was brought in to both of those fights a massive underdog and thought to be no more than a showcase. I still can't fathom how he's rated as high as he is without having actually defeated anyone rated in the top 30 at MW.

At the same time, jumping ship to Matchroom won't necessarily get him a fight in the short term. Well maybe with Sturm because they have recent history. But not with Golovkin. Eddie Hearn no likey Golovkin.

It's not like Hatton wasn't getting Murray decent offers. Aside from two title fights, Murray rejected fights with Chavez, Golovkin (2x), and Fletcher.

I do think Hearn will build Murray better within the UK than Hatton did, giving him a stronger fan base. I just don't think Murray's all that. I rated him below Macklin, Lee, Proksa and Barker, and would take the new blood of BJS, Eubank Jr, and Ogogo over him very soon. It's crazy to think he wanted to fight Froch following Martinez.

Surprising to say because Hatton has been in major fights , but i never thought he was the best negotiator on his own.

When he was solely in the UK he was terrible , really only made big money in 2 or 3 fights.

Murray very over-hyped. He made mistake leaving promoter and will likely be frozen out now. Soliman will get Sturm fight and Murray will need to travel to fight winner.

Murray went to Germany to get robbed off Sturm.

Murray went to Argentina to get robbed off Martinez.

He hasnt been the home fighter ever and this flexibility means he can push in a different direction.
