The only thing questionable about the Sturm fight is how the hell Sturm got jobbed of the victory in Germany.

    Sturm won that fight.

I think the Draw for Sturm/Murray was not unfair. I don't think I scored it but I thought Murray did better against Sturm than Soliman did (first fight) but worse than Geale did against Sturm... But none did as well as Macklin did versus Sturm.

As for Sturm/Macklin, I scored it 118-110 to Macklin and I honestly thought there may have only been one or maybe two more rounds remotely arguable for Felix.

Still... I'd love to hear which rounds some of these folks saying Sergio won 115-112 gave to Sergio in the Murray fight.

I also had the fight 6-6 in rounds but the one knockdown awarded by the ref made the difference. There were TWO knockdowns though: the referee gave Sergio a pass on one of them.

The official judges had it 8-4 in rounds, so they had Martinez winning by 3 points. That's obvious bias from 3 biased judges. And some psychos here are saying they had Martinez winning by 9 rounds! They didn't even watch the fight.

To be honest, I didn't watch the entire fight between Murray and Sturm; I just assumed that it had been a robbery since the judges scored it even in Sturm's adopted hometown.

Now I'm reading the posts here and I obviously need to watch the whole fight...

I saw Sturm with a close by clear win and I thought Khomitsky edged Murray in the UK...so...

It's strange that Sturm's reputation for robberies may actually be laughably bad. He lost a number of close ones (Geale, Soliman I, Soliman II) and was held to a draw against Stieglitz and Murray in bouts many had him winning..

Never mind Sturm I felt Murray should have lost his rematch with Khomitsky watching it with the sound off in a pub. Macklin really was hard done by against Sturm and won at least 8 rounds for me.

Did not see Murray vs. Martinez so can't comment on that but Martinez looled finished vs. Cotto for me, I couldn't believe how much he'd slipped since the Chavez fight. He was never the strongest but at one time had good strength, very good pop and incredible foot work, vs. Cotto his feet looked like he was in quick sand he looked weak compared to Cotto who isn't a big middle weight and his power was gone.

I think Murray is really strong and tough but his feet are slow, Golovkin is probably stronger, tougher and has better foot work, power, and boxing skills by some margin so I expect a Curtis Stevens style beat doen with Murray beong to enough to take it for 6 or 7 rounds.

Can't blame Murray for believing in himself but I don't see him winning.

And he actually was robbed of his middle weight title vs. Oscar De La Hoya. Even the Golden Boy admitted on twitter he should have lost that.

Didn't see this as I was writing my post but I'm glad somebody agrees. I have said many times that I felt Khomitsky won that fight.

No we can't. Murray lost to Sturm, anybody who saw the fight and isn't a Brit**** will agree and he didn't beat the shell of Martinez convincingly either..

But it is quite meaningless, he will be a goodboy soon enough

Are you sure? Soliman dominated Sturm in both fights in most people's opinions.

a guy who fights solely to get rich and avoid top tier opponents, gets robbed by a bigger draw who used him as a warm up to make a fight with a much bigger opponent

poetic justice in my book :good

I had Murray beating Sturm by 2 rounds, I don't know what fight people were seeing in this thread. Also had Murray winning by a round vs Martinez.
