    Afternoon Len :good

Me and you have been on this bus before mate, Murray beat him the last time, and would beat him again imo. This isn't just my opinion btw, plenty of decent posters scored the fight for Murray, as did others in the media.
If i was Murray i'd take Sturm in Germany, lots of time to take on the bigger challenge in Golovkin, and should he win a title (very possible barring a robbery) he'd have better bargaining power in a future fight with GGG.

Macklin, Lee and McEwan can wait. FFS, the UK public has been drooling over match-ups involving those four (and Barker, until he exited the picture) for years.. If they could wait that long, they will still pony up for those big domestic clashes even if Murray is coming home off a losing world championship try. They're not going anywhere.

So the choice is between Sturm, which is the 'safer' option in risk/reward terms except for being in Germany...or Golovkin, who might struggle a bit with Murray but will ultimately probably wreck him the same as his other victims.

Nothing wrong with that Shakes. (Nothing wrong with your memory either, mate!)
I politely and respectfully disagree with you, as you know.
However do you concede that Murray would be facing a different Sturm now, if they were to fight today? :thumbsup

If that's true about Murray's team turning down a Quillin fight in England that's a scandal. Murray should be screwing.

He should absolutely fight Sturm, no question. That is the weakest beltholder he can fight, and a winnable fight. It is also better to have Murray with the belt because Sturm might fight d-level opposition in Germany for some fights if not beat, to keep the title, like he has done before. I want to see GGG take a shot at unifying the division, and with Sturm having a belt that will be difficult as I doubt he would step in with Golovkin.
Should be a very winnable fight for Murray.

I think Quillin is the weakest belt holder, fighting Quillin in UK should have been a very winnable fight for Murray compared to fighting Sturm in Germany.

Quillin won't dare step in the ring with Murray. Geale would spank him as well. He got lucky against Rosado. I agree he might be the weakest belt holder. That's between him and Sturm.
