He looked kinda wasted during the championship rounds in the Sturm fight and he fought an already spend Maravilla, so I strongly disagree.

I think Murray is looking motivated and sharp. Hes up for this one and I think he proves to be a pesky, durable opponent for G. Golovkin is a fav of mine but I do think hes slightly overrated. If hes stopped in 6 my belief in Golovkins level of power will definitely rise. But I see this going past 6 and Murray not being an easy outting relative to G's recent steamrolls. Though no way imo Murray wins it.

    We will see.

I think Golovkin's power is overrated, and his boxing ability is under rated.

There is always someone out there who can take your punch, whether you are Golovkin or Tyson. Since Murray hasnt yet displayed any weakness in body or chin, it might be him. Or it might not. :conf

Looking forward to finding out though.

yeah but murray doesn't have anything to keep ggg off him golovkin could just walk him down and with the way murray likes to stand right in front with a high guard leaving his body exposed that has body shot ko written all over it.no one can stand up to a well placed liver shot.

I don't think his power is overrated.

His boxing skills are maybe a bit underrated

But based on all of the sparring stories, I'm inclined to believe that he has special power

yes his boxing ability is underrated because all people see are the knock outs.he has a silver medal plus a ton of amateur fights his boxing skills are legit.

I completely agree on his power being overrated and his skills being somewhat overlooked.

Murray sucks, Sturm is spotty, he's good some times he's average some times, he went on a run of looking pretty average against Macklin, Murray, Geale and Soliman. And oh yeah and Barker's hip gave out so he would have probably looked average against Darren as well.

Martinez was shot to **** and coming off of surgeries and he still beat him, GGG will walk right through him like a hot knife through butter.

How about Khomitsky II? - he looked winded and had to be told to breathe by his corner - but it's hard to spot the exact shot that did it. Slowed Martin right down though.

As individual observations you may be correct, though when combined in a fight Golovkin makes surviving very difficult. Unlike Tyson he isn't squeezing his gloves together, palpably trying to destroy. Many of those who made it to the halfway stage with Mike either won or survived. With Gennady it's more corrosive. There's little pauses while slipping/range finders before sitting down on his shots. He's not in a hurry but forces you to engage. It reminds one of Joe Louis.

Oh I never said it was easy :D

It just wont surprise me too much if eventually someone comes along with enough natural toughness and skill to at least survive 12. Though I reckon they might end up wishing they hadnt after the fight, I think it hurts more the day after.
