I give 7rds to Martinez. A close decision is not a robbery. At least there were not 118-110 scores like in the Canelo-Trout fight. If you are the contender, fighting in champ's home, you shouldn't throw first 3 or 4 rds, and lost the last two... and expect to get a decision. Maybe a draw.
It was truly a close fight and i have to agree with you. I think most people use the word robbery wrong but that´s just me. Murray and Martinez had a lot of really close rounds and i would have fancied a draw.
I was a bit confused, because he didn't lose clearly and I wanted Sergio to win, it's certainly classy but I didn't see a clear won.
I wouldn't say it was a robbery. Martinez squeezed out enough rounds to make it a decision that could have gone either way. That knockdown should have been given and Murray, being the better man on the night, should consider himself slightly unlucky that he never had his arm raised. But that's it. Unlucky, as opposed to robbed.
The implications of Martinez losing to a Brit in buenos aires might have something to do with the results. The Malvinas/Falklands islands war. I have Murray winning, and I'm a Martinez fan. But not a robbery.
Whats with these Brit fighters that won't go for it in the final couple of rounds.Murry had to know the fight was either close or he was behind going into the final round and yet his stupid corner man tells him to be careful and keep your hands up?:-(
I'm a huge martinez boxing fan and i'm not gonna lie i thought murray won ,also that body shot was legal plus that other knockdown should have counted.
I had it 6 rounds a piece : Sexy won 1,2,3,7,11,12, Murray won rounds 4,5,6,8,9,10 plus 2 knockdowns. Murray was very unlucky not to win.
