Eddie Hearn ‏@EddieHearn 6m BREAKING NEWS...following his fight falling through in Australia @MartinMurrayBox will now box on the @Carl_Froch v @StGeorgeGroves card!!
Id rather he fought a decent opponent and kept away from triple god, with a view to winning another version. But Im sure it'll be TBA,especially at this late hour.Glad he's getting out.Fingers crossed the show isn't cancelled.
Hatton is the worst promoter in Britain, he's landed on his feet with the Sky deal but now that's fallen through he doesn't want to do any of the dirty work that most up starting promoters have to go through. His lazy inept ability to promote is ruining his fighters careers (and their primes) its okay for him while he has millions in the bank, he can just use Hatton Promotions as a tax write off - but his boxers need the money. Martin Murray won't be on the breadline but he needs to be earning enough money to keep his family financially secure when his short boxing career ends. Hatton and any other promoter (2001 onwards Don King another example) are ruining their fighters careers and lives. Let’s see what people say when Murray is fighting way past his sell by date because he didn’t make enough money when he was prime and able.
This is correct.I have been saying the same thing for the past year.Hatton is in this for simply his love affair of seeing his own name in the papers while his stable starves on the sidelines. A pathetic excuse for a "promoter".:tired
Has Ricky Hatton even promoted a show of his own since his comeback last year ? Obv joining forces with Boxnation was bollocks.
The Boxnation deal with the other domestic promoters does look a bit ropey bar Frampton- Maloney has retired and Hatton's fighters seem to fight on Sky more than Boxnation.
After watching the press conference for Murrays Oz fight I couldn't help but feel sorry for Martin whilst Ricky was talking out of his arse. Murray just sat there taking in the bull****.
defo! he's really good he should be one of the most talked about boxers in here as he one of not that many british fighters who I would describe as 'elite'
