Martin Murrey could defend his commonwealth belt, and Scott Quigg has other domestic routes

The need to avoid the domestic route with Barker knocking about and Smith now and Quigg same Booth Munroe etc need to move on or fade before he will take them on

I note that, but when you get that Inter strap it then becomes tempting to fight for the regular/ordinary bogus WBA belts which screws up traditional apprenticeships

No doubt but sadly in todays boxing climate this is the way you can maneuver boxers into positions where they can avoid hard fights. realistically Quigg should be looking at domestic title now 20 odd fights in.

to be fair niether are ready for the domestic champions in Barker & Booth yet so the Hattons are doing a good job in getting them 12 round fights agaisnt decent enough fighters.

As long as they eventually pick up a British or European title I cannot see the problem.

Because quigg is ranked 11 by the WBA seems have the wba international belt boosts your ranking big time, this fight should break him into the top 10, booth holds all the other domestic belts so what really can quigg fight for? hopefully booth vacates when he goes to fight martinez

Scott Quigg is only 22 so just to have 21 fights by that age is very impressive

If he waits a year or two before he hits European level and has say 6 fights in that period then he might progress better overall in the long term

Quigg will get sparked by Frampton in due course. Hatton knows this as well

Did I say Quigg was ducking him? :huh

Hatton is keeping Quigg on a seperate route from Frampton since he KNOWS Frampton is looking to go the "traditional route" of Brit, C'wealth, Euro titles. If Quigg and Frampton fought tomorrow, Frampton would spark him :hi:
