Both in their primes, who takes it and how?

Two of my favorites from that era of British heavyweights.

Big John and he would be too hot in his prime for Joshua as well.

    Big John.
Had a bit more than Rogan. Tough, hard bugger was Rogan just felt McDermott was a bit more skilled.

For the person who selected Rogan: how does he take this fight? What’s the game plan?

I just remember Rogan being a real brawler, crude but entertaining to watch. He beat Harrison and Skelton which aren’t bad wins but they were very close fights.

I think prime McDermott would win via late stoppage in a fun slugfest

Big Mc. Both really tough men but John had more strings to his bow.

Not quite sure this is the landslide victory for McDermott it's currently appearing as.

They both had there biggest fights roughly around the same - from 2008 to 2012.

McDermott was taken out inside 1 round by Matt Skelton who Rogan stopped only 3-4 years later (granted a more diminished version). Rogan also beat Audley Harrison in 2008 and this was an Audley Harrison that knocked out Danny Williams in 2006.... the same Danny Williams that beat McDermott twice in 2008.

Now this isn't a slight against McDermott at all and I'm not often one for "triangle theories" but I think it makes a case that this fight would be a lot closer than what's being let on.

One of Big John's losses to Danny Williams in the first fight was a disgraceful decision as Big John was a clear winner during that fight even without Williams being deducted 3 points in this fight.

Probably the 2nd worst decision I have seen after Big John's poking by Spud O'Connor in his first fight with Tyson Fury.

    2 good guys.

Rogan was more consistent but Big John at his best coupe beats him. Depends which McDermott turns up.

    Be a good scrap
