Tell Martinez to sign with GBP, that will up his chances at Mayweather 10 fold. Or tell Maravilla to defeat someone with ties to Mayweather, like a Cotto. That will get casuals to think about the Mayweather-Martinez possibility and drive up demand.

Knocking out Daren Barkers and Macklin's aren't going to get a Mayweather fight done. Signing with GBP and getting Ortiz as a sacraficial lamb will though. Fighting Cotto will.

Im thinking if Martinez can get Chavez Jr after his fight with Lee and defeat him in an impressive fight. Then that might draw up the buzz to get the Mayweather fight.

**** no! Mayweather won't fight him it doesn't matter who he beats. Mayweather stated before that he was willing to fight the winner of Williams/Martinez 2 and then....nothing happened. So whatever Martinez does, the fight won't happen. Mayweather will only fight GBP fighters and he still has Khan and Canelo. Samething with Pac, he only fights Top Rank and after Bradley will be Marquez and Rios.

It won't matter if Martinez signs with TR or GBP, they won't let him fight their cash cows!
